Golf At Southern Dunes

I was just wondering if any-one had played golf at Southern Dunes (for my boyfriend)

What is the course like?

Can you go out on your own? Or do you have to have a minimum number of players.

Also seeing as he will be doing a lot of the things that i want to do on the hol, i thought i would be a good girlfriend and maybe play a few rounds with him (or try to ) problem is that i'm not a member of a club so don't have a handicap certificate. Do you need one for the courses generally in Orlando?

We haven't played at Southern Dunes, but the courses in Florida all more or less operate in the same way. You won't need a handicap to play, but you will need to keep up with the expected pace so that you don't hold up other players. I don't always play when Matt does, but I often go along as a rider and drive the buggy. There's usually a nominal charge.

You can book a tee time just for your boyfriend, or for the two of you, but don't be surprised if you're sent out with others to make up a four-ball, particularly if it's a busy course.
