Just read in the Passporter that Golden Mickeys will be on the Magic in December. Anyone know for sure? Will it replace a current show?

if so, hopefully it will replace Morty....The Golden Mickeys is far superior

This will be our third December in a row and I would LOVE a new show!!!!!!

I've head so many great things about this show - can't wait to see it. Of course we will be waiting until Dec. of next year. :D

Anne - glad to see you'll get to see a new show on your birthday cruise!

Someone else had said it won't be on until 2004... I REALLY hope it makes it by December.....

I don't know about anyone else but I found the new show Golden Mickeys just so so. I thought Hercules and Disney Dreams were far superior than Golden Mickeys. Just my opinion though. Some may love it but everyone in my party thought it was  boring. My sister-in-law actually fell asleep. Sorry to disappoint anyone.:(

It's always interesting how different people view the same thing.

We absolutely loved it and think it's much better than the other shows. We saw it twice during our day at sea, having gone to the matinee and then to the regular performance.

I hope that it's on the Magic by January.:boat:

I enjoy Hercules very much, but I fell in love with the Golden Mickeys. I guess it's because I prefer a show that has multiple production numbers featuring characters from many Disney movies (especially my favorite, Stitch). And the staging of Golden Mickeys was phenomenal. I also loved how they used the backdrops to create a cartoonish world in Snow White, and it was so neat how they worked in kids from the audience. And Tarzan reminded me of the WDW show, while Lion King was reminiscence of the Broadway play. I know it's just my opinion, but this show is a real winner. I can hardly wait to see it again Thanksgiving weekend...once was not enough!!

we cant wait to see The Golden Mickeys again on our upcoming 1/15 3 day.....we thought this show was just incredible, though a little short at about 45 minutes....my favorite production number was Tarzan's twirling around the vine at what seemed to be 100mph----just awesome

We also thought the Golden Mickeys was so so. REALLY enjoyed Disney Dreams!

I just saw the Golden Mickeys last week and thought it was better than Disney Dreams. For those of you that saw it, I have just one word....TARZAN, TARZAN, TARZAN!!!! Me want to be Jane so badly!

Eyes and Ears confirmed December.
The entertainment department on the Magic confirmed the actual scheduled "debut" date on the Magic will be Dec. 11 (this year) . . . always subject to change, of course!

We were on the 10/12/03 4 day and saw the Golden Mickeys and Disney Dreams. Golden Mickeys was okay but was nothing like Disney Dreams. Disney Dreams was wonderful.

tweetsie - Although I go see Disney Dreams every time I cruise, and I still get teary-eyed at the very end, I have now seen Golden Mickeys 3 times and it is my new favorite. The two shows are very different. I think it will probably be a 50/50 split as to who likes what, and they are both fantastic in their own special ways. It's like comparing apples to oranges. The great thing is that no one has to make an either/or choice. They can see both when cruising Disney!

I just received a flyer in the mail a few days ago and it did say Golden Mickeys will be on the Magic in December. It did not say when and it did not say what it would be replacing, but it did say it would be there!

Golden Mickeys was very nicely done. The only bit that a lot of people talked about (especially at our dinner table) was how the pre-show wasn't what they expected. A lot of guests thought that the pre-show was going to "interview" Disney characters instead of cruisers. It's mostly children that they interview, and it was a little hard to understand most of them (very young children, mostly mumbling). Rona Rivers would basically ask where you bought your outfit, who did you want to see get a Golden Mickey, then have you say "Welcome to the Golden Mickeys!" It was a full 30 minutes of interviews, that was mostly (unfortunetly) ignored in the theater.

See.... I LOVED the interview.... I thought it was hillarious!! Rona was interviewing one lady and asked about her earrings and the lady replied," I got them at K-Mart for the Blue Light Special!" and I just died out laughing.... I think everyone laughed at it... I thought it was really well done.....
