Is there anything going on in the Golden Horseshoe these days?

I heard they got rid of Laughing Stock after shockingly letting Billy Hill and the Hillbillies go which I still get mad about. Loved the Billies!

If there is nothing happening on the Golden Horseshoe stage why not? Sometimes its very hard to understand the decisions made by the ones calling the shots.

I was there in late April, and saw a cute comedy routine. Nothing amazing, though.

Starting july 9th a new interactive show called "legends of frontierland" will debut.

Laughing Stock is currently in the Horseshoe. That show is ending soon and they are starting the new show as soon as that is over.

The list so far:

The taketh away of the Court of Angels.

The odd new Club 33 logo.

The HMH.

The movie add ins with the Pirates of the Caribbean.

The exiting of Billy and his hillbillies.

BTMRR is too smooth now!

The Matterhorn is too bumpy
and the new bobsleds are not user friendly!

That's all I got at the moment!

They don't make you sing! They basically give you a line to repeat every time something happens, like every time someone says something you reply with your line.

The Wild Wild West show at Universal (at least back in the day) had the typical stuff, you know, falling off of roofs, shoot outs, and is not interactive.

I think you and I should switch places. You come to KY and meet some Cowboys and get me out of here for the West Coast!

Now I remember when it was mentioned about the Legends of Frontierland show, and all I remember is that is sounded pretty lame to me, especially when I will always believe that Billy and the Hillbillies belong in the horseshoe. I know that won't ever happen again, but why does Disney have something against putting some real entertainment on the wonderful stage in the GH like Walt intended for it. So stupid.

After reading Disney's description of the new "show" coming to the Golden Horseshoe I just don't understand how this can be considered entertainment...not like was intended for this unique, fine venue. Oh well, after our next visit it will be easier to find other vacation destinations and not be so attached to Disney anymore. I just don't like the direction things are going these days so time to take a few years off, like we did between 2000 and 2009.

I find the premise interesting, however am non pulsed by it because it entails a feud between one land and another. Better can be done.

I think it sounds like it has potential and I'm excited to try it. In my opinion disney has more wins than loses when it comes to shows/ entertainment, and they do a good job usually of producing high calibre entertainment. I'm going to give disney the benefit of the doubt on this one and try it when I'm there in August. Interactive shows can be fun (Jedi training academy? Merlin?)
