Anyone heard any rumors about the show that used to go on at the Golden Horseshoe? Is that gone for good? If it doesn't come back by the time the parades and night time shows return..I'm worried it may never start again. We ate there in November and it just wasn't the same. 😭

I know a lot of performers got laid off during the shutdown. I liked Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe and my guess is that it will not be returning since they currently have a piano player at the Golden Horseshoe which is cheaper than having two.

Even into the 2000s there were versions of the Golden Horseshoe Revue that had 6 or 7 performers on stage.

The final version of the Revue (playing up until 2019, I think) had 4 performers.

The dueling piano showdown had 2 performers on stage.

The current show has 1 performer on stage.

At this rate, the next show at Golden Horseshoe will just be a player piano on stage by itself.

We miss the Laughing Stock Co. shows they used to put on! We always made a point to visit every trip at lunchtime. I was lucky to get picked as the bank teller girl almost every time we visited! I even tried sitting towards the back so that I wouldn't get picked and they still found me lol

My cousin also got picked as one of the cowboys in the Sally May show they had. I laughed so hard tears came out of my eyes, that skit was my favorite to watch!

This is what it meant to us!!! We actually never got picked but loved seeing the interaction and just enjoying the show. The food was whatever but we ate there every trip!!!

I've also gone in just to watch Laughing Stock Co. and not eat. Showdown at the Golden Horseshoe happened at the same time as they were giving out buttons to APs who mobile ordered so I actually never went in to watch it without eating.

I loved Golden Horseshoe Revue, and I love Billy Hill and the Hillbillies!! Always had to see them and it was fun when they did their Christmas shows. I know they've moved over to Knott's, but I don't care enough for that place to go over there.

My cousins from Spain were visiting when they had the 2nd iteration of the Horseshoe revue, and they had an aisle bisecting the front and back, I purposely sat at a table that would place us in a good spot for one of them to be picked - it was where they got one guy and one girl, dragged their chairs together, and put the girl's leg over the guy. I am laughing now as I remember when they got one of my cousins and did that to him. Their English was very broken and he had no idea what was going on. He took it in good humor. I also told them that Space Mountain was similar to It's a Small World. (back in the early 90's - there was no Internet to look all this stuff up for most people -- ha ha) Good times.

I got an annual pass for Knotts, so visit them when friends are in town. :) They are still funny and quite talented.

What I think Disneyland is gonna do with the Golden Horseshoe is possibly put a new show in it and it will probably feature singers performing renditions of classic country hits and be an interactive show where people are picked to square dance along to the music and it would be a hit if they decided to do it. I saw Billy Hill and the Hillbillies there and they were funny and fantastic and my father was picked to play a cowboy but he broke one of the props and everyone was laughing at him but they fixed the prop and my dad was so great as a cowboy and that's one funny memory I remember

I actually have an annual pass! I've only used it on one trip, though. I don't have a car when I come down so I haven't really tried to go back, even though I'd love to see them.
