Golden Ears

I will be @ Disneyland next week & was wondering how hard is it to get the Golden Mickey Ears hat with the embroidered name. Should this be the first thing we do when we get to the park? I had heard from somebody else that they had run out of the Golden Ears when he & his family made the trip this past July. Thanks - Jana

We just went last week for my daughter's birthday and there were plenty of Golden Ears available. We purchased hers toward the end of our day just a few minutes before the park closed. They embroidered her name on it and added a Minnie Bow to the top. I am sure there will be plenty available when you go next week. Have fun!

Don't forget that when you purchase the gold ears, you will receive a code for VMK....if you play, your character gets gold ears too!

We were there in September, and there were PLENTY of gold ears! We ended up with 4, had them all embroidered, and a Minnie bow put on one, and we were out of the shop in about 10 minutes. Took no time at all! Afterwards, we still had time for a Mickey ice cream bar before DH expected us back. Too bad we didn't bring one for him. Oh well, that's what he gets for leaving me alone in DL with my kids.

VMK (Virtual Magic Kingdom) is a free online game....look for the topic below the Disneyland section on the main page to find out all about it! It's great fun and you get a little Disney magic when you can't make it to the Parks!

Does it cost extra for them ta add the name? Just curious.

When we were at WDW this summer, they were sold out so we never got any. I'm curious if you can somehow get them before travel, this would be a cool way to surprise DS with the trip.....I'm planning a Birthday surprise.

Don't worry there are TONS of them in both parks. There is no charge to stitch the names on them either. Not sure about getting them before unless someone from the boards buys them in advance and mails them to you.
When are you going? We will probably be back next Thursday but if not for sure on the 21st of Oct.

We're not going until Feb, so we have plenty of time. Hum, there's a thought...although I'd be lost of how to go about 'having someone pick me one up and mail it to me. and me pay them'....maybe via PayPal? That would be awesome!
