Golden Ears code glitch???

Hi!

I was at DL today and asked about the cards for the golden ears and the girl said there had been glitches with the codes, so they didn't have any cards. I did manage to get the cards from another shop but I was wondering if anyone had any problems with the Golden Ears codes. Thanks!!

i did too i got a pin insted of ears BUT the good news is i got the ears and got a free pin

It's a very wide glitch. I've used loads of quest codes, and they end up giving me Narnia.

I was at DL on June 10, and received a few Golden Mickey Ears cards. My friend told me that there was a glitch and to wait a few days to enter the codes. He told me that VMK was aware of the problem and that it would be fixed. I began entering the codes when I got home and they work just fine.

About two weeks ago (maybe more??) I was a DLR and asked the appropriate store for the Gold Ears card. They told me that all cards had been pulled due to an incorrect printing of the codes.

From the comments here, seems they haven't received their new batch yet.

i'm kind of assuming that these codes are a 1-time only thing and can not be used by more than 1 person. if not, can someone plz give or trade me 1?

We got some at the beginning of March. My DD begged me to buy her a hat so she could get the card. We ended up getting three. They got the 50th anniversary poster when they put in the codes. She was very upset.

This first happened to me in December. I bought 2 hats at WDW and got 2 cards. When I got home, the cards gave me the 50th Year pins. I spend 3 months trying to contact VMK by the contact link on the front page, I explained the whole thing to them in the emails and included the code. I sent over 30 emails about it. They never anwered.

I tried to talk to numerous staff and host in the game and they all ingored me.

Finally in February we went back to WDW. I went right away to the hat shop and explained it to the ladies there. They took the old cards from me and gave me two new cards. I went to VMK central at the park right away and entered one and got the pin again. I had to call over one of the CM and explain it to them. They entered the 2nd one and they got a pin. So then the CM dug around behind the counter and got me 2 different cards and they finally gave me the gold ears hats in the game.

Well, we tried the cards we got and they worked for 3 of us! One of my friends' didn't work but I don't know what it gave her.

I just got cards in early June and i entered them with no problems. So i don't know if there is a glitch or not.

Yeah I got a couple cards about a month ago in the mail from a friend and they worked okay, and I have another friend who has gotten a couple recently (though from a different store other than the hat stores) and those worked. I believe when she asked the hat store they said the promotion was over, and the signs promoting it had been taken down.
Though that could have easily been a miscommunication and they could've been pulled due to the glitchiness, I'm more inclined to think it's actually over, since the last 3-4 cards I've known about have worked, and they were all within the last couple months. Though I did ask Hula about it and she said the promotion wasn't over. So I'm not really sure what to think for sure. hehe

next time you go to disney could someone see if they can get me a card? i don't think i'm going to WDW for about a year, so it will definatley be too late by then!

The cast member may not know what they are talking about, but I was told last week at both the hat shop (re the golden ears) and the magic shop (magic mirror) that the cards are all given out and they are not expecting more. I hope that is bad information.

Even the back of the gold ears cards says, "Redeemable through September 30, 2006."

Actually, there's talk of the 50th ending much earlier than originally planned. It was originally supposed to be over in November, but now they're saying they might start removing decorations and stuff as early as September.

Also, all of the cards, seem to say redeemable through Sept. 30, 2006 (the newer ones say through Sept. 30, 2007). I think it's just a cut-off day for the codes to be entered in, not for them to be passed out.

I was actually the person she was referring to who asked. And I asked at more than one hat place.
