Has anyone eaten at a Golden Corral in Orlando? If so, was it good and which one did you go to. I saw the menu and info online but have never eaten at one before. We have a convention trip in March so I was thinking of trying it out but thought I'd ask first.

I have been to the Golden Corral on 192 west of Main Gate.

Heading to Animal Kingdom, bear left instead of heading straight for the parking toll plaza. Next light take a left (Sherberth Rd) instead of straight ahead to the AK Lodge.

A little over a mile (no arches as you exit The World) is next light, 192. Right and then take a left through the median. Golden Corral is in that block, either directly in front of you or to your right (west) depending on where you went through the median.

They have an all American buffet that is quite inexpensive. I would call it home cooked style. The items on the menu are not all spiced up, something that those with allergies will apprciate.

Next to that GOlden Corral, to the east in the same street block, is Shoneys. They also have an inexpensive home cooked buffet. I'm not sure whether they replaced their huge red sign with "buffet" in rolling lights that was knocke down in a hurricane a few years ago.

I've been to the one on Vineland just off of I-4 heading toward the outlet mall and Publix. They also have had good food.

We did not really enjoy the one on Sand Lake Road off of I4. Found it higher priced than most too.

We've eaten at the one I think it is on 192 in a little strip mall area. It was okay but not great. It's your typical buffet food which is not my idea of a choice meal (never feel like I eat enough to get my monies worth, if I'm paying $9+ per person then the food should be coming to me, unless of course it a character meal buffet at WDW). My parents went with us one year and we got to eat there twice as they really enjoy Golden Corral.

We usually eat at the one on west 192 in the Formosa Gardens area and like it.

We love Golden Corral, and always have at least 2-3 meals there in our 9 day stay. We prefer the one Spicey recommended on Vineland, but have also eaten a couple of times at the one on 192 by Sherbeth Rd, and also there is one down by Universal (can't remember the street). All are pretty comparable in quality and selections. We really enjoy it. We sometimes go for a late lunch (around 3:00 or so) and that does us for the rest of the day.

We eat often at the GC. Make sure you pick up the discount books (everywhere) for a 10% off coupon. I would like to know from live4christp1 gets an all you can eat ribs, steak, roast, chicken, shrimp, dessert, coffee etc etc delivered to him for $9.
Much varity. The one we usually go to is on #435 just below I-4 and very close to Hotel Blvd disney entrance.

i love this place! is there one right near the Comfort Inn lake buena vista? within very short walking distance?

My family and I have been to the locations at Vineland Ave by the Premium Outlet Mall, 192 East, 192 West and International Drive by Sand Lake Road and the one which we thought was the best was the location at Vineland Ave.

Sorry, should have added, I don't like steak, shrimp, ribs, roast is tolerable but not a favorite, chicken only if it's boneless skinless breast or tenderloins......so $9 for salad and school lunch cafeteria type veggies isn't my idea of a great meal. Also, have you all ever watched people at a buffet? Get something on their hand, lick it off, reach for the next serving utensil......EEEWWWWW not to mention all the unsupervised little kids that get sent there. The last time we ate at the one in Orlando there was a kid running around getting things off the bar and putting them back. :scared1:

it isn't far - but walking no - you would need to get pass I4 intersection - always very, very dangerous.

This location (International Drive at Sand Lake Road) is one of the worst Golden Corrals I've ever eaten in. Dirty plates and silverware; surly servers and you're right, they're more expensive. Unlike other GCs, they also don't include a beverage with a children's meal as all other GCs do. I took it up with the manager and he couldn't have cared less.

I'd avoid this location at all costs. The other Orlando/Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee locations are fine.

The best Golden Corral in the area is the one on 535 at the entrance to Little Lake Bryan. (Where you used to turn off to go to Dolly's Dixie Stampeed just past I-4)

Its a test location, and it's cleaner than most, and has a better selection of food than the rest.
