Gold status and CC Cabanas

I'm guessing that the CC cabanas are usually all reserved before Gold members are able to book. Any gold members out there who had any luck? And we will be sailing in summer on the Fantasy (with more passengers) so I'm guessing that makes it even more difficult. Thanks for sharing!

We are gold and sailing next month, no cabanas were available to gold on our SWDAS cruise.

I have been lucky to score a cabana as a silver, gold and platinum member!
You never know, keep checking daily on the website, if you have no luck, once you board you can go to guest services and ask to have your name placed on a waiting list and if any become available they will contact you.
I will tell you the only time I was not able to get one was when we sailed the Fantasy in 2014 on the cruise happening during President's Day week.
The ship was packed and we had no luck.
Last week we were on The Magic with our grandkids, we booked 45 days before and of course they were all gone at that point.
I went to Guest Services as soon as we boarded, they called us before we even sailed off (CC day was the following day) and had one for us on Family Beach. There were actually 2 others that went unrented that day.
So you never know, you may get lucky!!!

To get one at the check-in date is nearly impossible for gold members on popular sailings. That being said, you can employ three strategies to try and get one anyway :

1- subscribe to your specific cruise FB or roll call page and advertise your wish to get one. You might be able to coordinate a release and catch with a fellow cruiser.
2- check online as often as you wish or can. Cabanas get released.
3- get on the waitlist at guests services immediately when you board and carry your wave phone with you. If you don't answer, they'll go to the next one on the list.

I'm a lowly silver and got one on SB for Presidents' Week during my 4-night Magic Cruise. It's possible.
