I have only been to Disney twice, but I absolutely love it. My dad is thinking about buying us a gift to there with the gold plan, but I am wondering if it is worth it with the meals. I can only find that you are able to dine at over 125 locations in Disney, but I don't know what those 125 places are. Does anyone here know what some of those places include? I was just wondering if it was fast food three meals a day or are you allowed a nice sit down meal at Cinderella's Royal Table or some such place? Also, are any Character meals included in this? If anyone could please help me, I would so appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

The gold plan covers dining at almost any restaurant in the world, even Victoria and Albert's. If you go to www.allearsnet.com or www.mousesavers.com and look into the packages, there will be a comprehensive list. The gold plan, I know, also covers child care and tickets to the Cirque de Soleil.

Here's a site you should look at. It has a PDF of all the restaurants included and a link to what excatly you get with each meal.

For a quick answer, I'm pretty sure every restaurant at WDW, except the swan and dolphin places and V&As, is included. So it could be used for both table-service (sit down) and counter-service.

To make up for the $$ it costs, make sure to use all of the other stuff a lot too (rec, spa etc). This is not a good choice if you like to spend the majority of your time in the parks.

The gold plan is great...if you want things easy and not have to worry about money. It is based on eating three full sitdown meals per day...appetizer, entree and dessert.

:D We used the Gold Plan May 2003. The plan is pricey but..... with the choices you have the plan is worth it.

The resturants on the gold plan can be found on Disney World's main web page under the different plans offered, choose the Gold Plan and then download it.

Victoria & Alberts @ The GF or any spa's are NOT included. I had to pay for my spa treatment @ the Saratoga last year. It was to die for but I had to pay for it..... I had a disney club discount @ that time.

You can go horse back riding, ride the Mickey boats, my DH enjoyed the fishing excursions, rent bikes, go to Cirque (wonderful show). When you go to a rest. to eat (whether sit down or counter), you tell them you are on the Gold Plan... then they will tell you what you can get.....believe me, it's alot. You will get 3 coupons per day (you aren't given actual paper coupons) the coupons are running totals of 3 meals per person X the nights you have paid for.

Examples: (1 person) - 3 (meals a day) X 5 nights = 15 coupons per person

me, DH, DS & DS's friend - 4 X (3 meals a day) X 6 nights = 12 X 6 = 72 coupons

After you've eaten @ a rest., they run a total @ the bottom of the receipt & it tells you how many coupons are remaining. It will list it for ALL coupons for ALL of the people in your party or whoever's name is on the reservation @ the hotel.

I do hope this helps !

Have LOTS of fun !!!!!

Go to the above link, under the picture you will see Click here to view and print brochure. Click the link. It will take a while (at least 5 minutes, but I have dial-up) to download. It will open in acrobat reader. In the brochure, it will list all the dining along with everything else you need to know.

We did the Silver Plan and found that was enough for us.

We did the Gold Plan this past Jan. and hope to use it next Jan.:D As everyone else has said, it includes just about everything except V&A, the chef's domain at Citrico's - hey anyone know about Garden View Tea Room? That's not listed on the form, so I'm assuming that's not included either...

We (DH and I) managed to save a little over $1000 by using the plan versus booking everything separately. But, let me tell you, we were pretty sick of food by the end:crazy: We only ate fast food once, and that was only because we didn't have time for breakfast elsewhere before a tour! We ate at character breakfasts, nice places for lunch, and only 2 wish (more expensive) places for dinner. All of your servers will be happy to see you since they're assured of a good tip, and are more than happy to help you "spend" your coupons;)

We fit in two tours, Backstage Safari and Keys to the Kingdom, both we enjoyed. We went parasailing, used the water mice once (stupid cold weather in Jan.!!), went to Cirque, and just had a ball. We started early and ended late every day, so that may not be for everyone, but we liked it:D

The other benefit is paying for everything ahead of time. The only thing you need to worry about is extra tip $, and $ for souveniers. And if your dad's going to buy it, go for it;) I'm an only-child and spoiled, but not *that* spoiled (or is it lucky?);)

Have fun!
