Gold pass upgrades?

So in the past DVC members did get some upgrades when purchasing an annual pass. Best one I recall was getting 13 months for the price of 12. Started planning my 2020 trip and was curious to know if any upgrades were offered in the past couple years? I know it not a given but curious is all. Also how long after purchase do we have to activate an AP? If and when they rise again I'd probably purchase before but don't want to deal with any increases if I don't have to. Was also thinking of staggering purchases as funds permit and not have to deal with getting all 4 at once.

A few years back the offered the platinum plus for the price of gold. But nothing since for APs that I recall.

Your AP begins the first day of use. I don’t think there is an expiration on when to begin use. The thing about increases is many times they happen without warning.

Deals like the extra month and the Platinum upgrade have been very rare.

I don't expect any special deals for DVC annual passes for the next few years unless the economy & employment numbers take a big hit. Parks are filling without them.
