Has anyone here rented the GoGo ECV in the past couple years? If so, did the battery last all day without recharging? Recently when I was at WDW, although that's what I've always rented, GM convinced me that the Maker of the GoGo (Pride Mobility, I think) changed the battery, and the scooter really wasn't made for all day in a theme park ("It's really more for shopping at the mall, trips to the grocery store, etc.") Keeping in mind that 8-9 hours in a theme park is more than enough for this almost 70 yo, I'm uncertain. I really liked the GoGo, it was always so maneuverable. They were nice enough to let me try the Pride Victory this trip for the same price as the GoGo so they weren't trying to get more money! Since I was solo, I was really afraid of being stuck with a dead battery, just don't know what to do. Looking for other renters of the GoGo and your experiences.

It depends, if they are still able to get the extended batteries for it, then it should be fine. The problem has been that for may scooters it hasn't been possible to get the extended batteries recently, so that would leave them the choice of using older batteries, which they don't like to do for reliability reasons or using the lower capacity batteries. I can assure you if they are using the lower capacity batteries, they will NOT last all day in the parks. If they have the extended batteries, just keep an eye on it.

This doesn't really have to do with the manufacturer changing batteries, but rather with supply chain issues unfortunately. Also, your weight will play a major factor in it with the extended batteries, with the smaller batteries, it doesn't matter, it won't last all day, more like 3-4 hours.

The Victory is a much more comfortable ride and will last all day without any trouble.

Rented a go-go scooter from GM in July. They tried to upsell me Too. I had ‘juice’ left every night. i did take the charging cord along, JIK. Never needed it.

Yeah, just remember they replace their scooters every 6 months and there has been a limited supply available, so that may be a factor here.

We are arriving next Friday and have rented a GoGo for my Mom. That is what we have rented in 2018 and 2019 for her. We do some long-ish days and never had a problem, so I am hoping still no issues. Guess I could always throw the battery charger cord in the backpack just in case? She is way under the weight limit and may have the backpack but it would not make her anywhere close to the weight limit.

We had a go go in November. One night I forgot to charge it. The battery lasted a day and a half before it was completely dead. I could understand though if recently they haven't been able to replace the batteries as frequently as they usually do how that could start causing a problem and they want to warn you about it just in case.

Interesting-it was in July when this happened to me also.

Scooter I had looked looked new. It did have 2 baskets that my family loaded up with all their stuff. WAter bottles, back packs etc.

Will say tho, despite being told it was ‘lightweight’, DH and I used a tag team effort to place in back of rented SUV Even fully disassembled with battery off, If I had to do it solowould’ve probably failed.
Can’t imagine trying to get it in and out of a car trunk
