Gold level 10% off merchandise...how to you get this?

I am now Gold level and I read that CC members get a 10% discount off merchandise. How to you get this...is it automatic or do you have to ask.

The cast member ringing you up will usually say something to the effect to let you know you are receiving it. It is reflected on your account. If they do not, it does not hurt to ask.

I always ask to make sure they added it. A cast member told me that a very small "gold" or "platinum" icon shows up on the register but that it is easy to miss.

It's automatically applied, just go to the shops, any eligible product will automatically have the discount applied.

If the CM doesn't mention it while ringing up the merchandise, we always ask. Sometimes they miss it.

When I hand them my card I tell them I'm platinum that way they won't miss it. Than I look at my receipt to make sure.
