Gold Doors are at DCA

Hi all! I went to DCA this evening and the gold door cards are in. They actually are on a large card but you can punch out the vmk playing card if you wish. When I went today they were handing them out at the entrance of the monsters inc ride. I am so happy to finally have a gold door

Now I have a new card to add to my list! Just when I thought I had finished my quest for all cards!


If anyone gets an extra I would like the whole card please! Code can be used but if you are really feeling generous an unused code would not be turned down!

I am sure lots of the cards where thrown away. I saw several people dump theirs in the trash but didn't think it would look good to dive in after them LOL. The first time I rode the ride the CM was handing them out to each person in line. The second time I rode the ride there was a different CM and you had to ask him for a card as he was not giving them to each person in line.

LOL Coriander, I will keep that in mind next time. I did peak in the trash can closest to me as my husband was on my phone and told me too when I mentioned ppl were throwing them away but there was yucky stuff on top and I did not want to dig around in there LOL, next time I will take some gloves with me to do the job

LOL I probably would have stood by the garbage and been like oh I;ll take that if you don't want it!

Good thing to know. Thanks for telling us. My son traded away 3 pirate stools/sticks last night for gold doors. I'll let him know, again, not to be so hasty in his trades!

Me too not to proud to dive. I can just image the look on my Dh face "when is she ever going to grow up". My answer: when you give me real gold doors But instead of doing the garabage thing I would have created a new quest. How many discard cards could I find Would have just driven my DH loopy.

LOL! I would have done the same thing LittleBelle!! I would have scratched the original day's plans and spent the day hunting down gold cards from people who didn't want them!! EXCEPT my DH would have been right in it with me!

I'm not a dumpster diver (or diva? LOL) BUT when it comes to VMK cards, I think I really think I might have taken my first dive!

Hearing this makes me A) Wish I could go to Disneyland once and B) Have more than one child. I would take DS and some friends and have them stake out trashcans...."and if you get the MOST cards before people throw them away, there's a mickey bar for you "

Oh the wonders of childhood innocence The things we would do as a child just for a ice cream bar. But I understand this is no normal ice cream bar it has ears. Yes I believe this plan would work, and if you had a child who could cry on a wim; wow you would have a ton of Gold Doors.

Ok, I too would be at the trash cans or asking ppl if they wanted the card or not.......

since I live 3000 miles away, if some one can dive for a card for me I would love it..... I an not greedy one door would be fine, so I at least have one....LOL

It's things like this that makes me wish I home schooled star. Boy I'd be up for a road trip! Think of all the educational things along the way on our quest for gold doors!

By the way, my husband comes from a family of garbage pickers. The first time I met his aunt and uncle they were picking for aluminum cans. could you just see them if they were VMK players at DLR?! ROFL
