Has anyone been with these ? ,its for a coach im sorry to say but prices look good

hi we returned Sunday, and travelled with Goldcrest, the company itself were brilliant, no problems at all. The journey does take along time we got on in Barnlsey, South Yorkshire, it did other pick ups, we caught the bus at 5.45am and arrived 9pm it would have been shorter but traffic was not great, 10 mins before we hit the channel tunnel, we were held up in traffic jam, so we missed our departure time, so had to wait for the next one, but by the time we had a loo break it was pretty much time to get back on the coach to board the train. We had 2 4yr old girls with us, the coach had a loo which was visited frequently lol, a selecion of drinks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, & pop, cheaper than services at only 50p each, the driver had a large selection of disney dvd's snow white etc, we took coloring books and bits to keep them occupied. I would go again with gold-crest the price is right :) it is a long journey, but that depends where u live i suppose.

Thanks thats great to hear we live in HUll east yorks and we are use to going on coach (national holidays) but gold creast are offering a 5 day trip which is what we want and as long as we get there i dont mind:) ,did you use the ferry or tunnel? and did you book online or though a agent many thanks oh and we wre looking at staying at the expolers thanks for answering:goodvibes

youre welcome, i booked through a travel agent, allied travel, we went through the tunnel, we stayed at the Santa Fe, i thought it was very good, although we only slept there, up at 7am for 7.45am breakfast, which was very nice by the way. Off out to parks back at 9-10pm. Hope this helps, what ever you decide i hope you have a fab time............we did :)

Hi just read your post. I have not been with gold crest but have booked a holiday for 18th december for 5 days. After looking through all the coach holidays with the likes of gold crest, we booked our flights cheap through the net and booked the holtel direct through disney. We did this becuase it works out better value for money. you mentioned you are looking at a 5 day trip that is exactly what we are doing. It worked out to be about £20-30 more expensive per person baring in mind this is for a room of 4 adults and not 2 adults 2 chilren which disney have there great offers on for. but we do get the full 5 days with a 5 day park-hopper pass (with flying there early morning and coming back evening time) whereas with a coach trip you generally spend your 1st and 5th day traveling so only really get a 3 day break, which dont usually give access for the full amount of days into the park i think on a 5 day holiday they give a 2 day pass and it only takes like 1h 45mins to fly, instead of all day on a coach. So if you are willing to pay the little extra it is well worth it, plus if it is family of 2 adults 2 children in the room it will possibly work out quite a bit cheaper as we have only looked at the prices for 4 adults.

I had a look and the prices seem to be a lot cheaper than Leger, I didn't realise that any other coach companies went from South Wales. Now that Leger have left the Tesco Clubcard Scheme, (no more subsidised hols :sad1: ) I shall be looking into all the alternatives for our future trips, I'll see how this next trip goes but I quite enjoyed the coach journey, for me when I'm going on my own with the children it's the least stressful way to get there.:)
