Gold crest holidays? (disney by coach)

Hi I used to post occassionally in the run up to our June Disneyland paris holiday.

I'm now trying to sneak in a pre christmas trip. I've been to wdw Dec 07 and loved it all decorated and my 2 year old loved the shows.

Spent a fortune in June trying to do this trip on the cheap!

I've seen a coach trip sun 30th Nov with Gold crest for £180 an adult for 2 nights at santa fe and 2 days park tickets. Plus my nearly 3 year old will only be £49 and gets a seat on the coach.

Anyone been with this company before? seems a great deal.

Yes i know it will be hours on the coach but grandma will be there to entertain my 2 year old, she like grandma loves bus travel! I've been to Paris on a coach 10 yrs ago and it wasn't that bad.

Hi- I haven't been with Gold Crest personally, but my future Brother in Law and his ex GF did. They said they were a really good company to travel with and they were really nice people.

We tend to book with Leger holidays for coach trips- They are really REALLY good and really know their stuff!

www.coachholidays.com is the website we use to find our cheaper coach deals, so it might be worth looking on there too!!

I've done DLRp on a coach before. It's not too bad, not as bad as you'd think anyway, although I haven't done it with my own child.

It sounds like a very good price but have you tried getting a quote directly from Disney for the hotel and then direct with the Eurostar? Often works out cheaper than any type of package holiday!

Now, we didn't find this the case the last twice we have booked....

I can't remember the prices for last time round, but this time we have paid considerably less than what going directly with Disney and airlines would have cost. Thats just our experience personally though....

I do agree though that sometimes package holidays are ridiculously overpriced....

Where would you be travelling from, just out of interest??

We don't find the coach journey too bad either....

When I looked for October this year with Ledger it was coming in at around £800 for two adults and a child by Eurostar, with Disney and Eurostar it was just under £500! Maybe not cheaper than using a coach but then I get living about 20 mins from Ashford makes the Eurostar a much nicer option

I suppose it depends on where you live as well.... We live up North (We live in Northumberland, but we travel from Robert's parents in Barnsley) so coach is a cheaper option for us because otherwise we'd have to get to Ashford/London as well......

....Believe me, if Eurostar was an option for me, I'd be taking it! I don't mind the coach travel, but I wanna get to DLRP quicker!!

True, I can see how coach would be a good option from Humberside! I'm only driving this time as it's only 4 hours door to door!!

Is flying possible from up there ? (please excuse my dumbness, I've only been north of Watford a few times )

From Newcastle it is.... Thing is we'd have to pay about £80 for a taxi to Newcastle Airport and then another £80 back!! I can drive, but I wouldn't like to leave my Ka there for that long..... I'm dodgy enough parking at the Metro Centre for the day!!

If we wanted to fly we could theoretically go from Manchester, but we always find flights that bit too expensive for us..... And more hassle because we'd have to take 2 trains to get us there....

I moved it half way through to the Trafford Centre and then had to catch a bus back to the Bowling Tournament! The look on the bus driver's face when we went back on the bus, 4 lads and 4 giant roller bags full of bowling balls

we have booked gold crest for november for 3 nights to santa fe for £197.10 each , departure point - liverpool

gold crest are advertising the holiday for £219 , but we booked through www.coachholidays.com and got for £197.10

I live near Burnley, Lancashire so neither flying or euro star are cheap or convenient. Particularly when you factor in a toddler, a buggy and luggage.

The coachholidays website was the deal i'd found thanks £20 less than gold crest direct.

When we went in june DH drove but it was our main hol and we had a stop off near london both ways and an overnight in calais on the way back. Cost a fortune in petrol aswell.

Pricing hotel directly with Disney was only a little less than gold crest want for the whole thing - just wondered if they were ok. I'd heard good things about leger but they were alot dearer.

.... I think that Gold Crest would be a good company to go with if the price difference is minimal....

You must be really out in the sticks (I'm from south Northumberland originally), were flying back to Newcastle on easyjet and it was only £30 each from CDG but because were on the metro line it only costs us a couple of £ to get home. You can get really cheap airport parking if you book really early though - and I promise you Bob if you can manage the multi storey car parks at the metro centre you will be fine at the airport!

I went with ledger about 5 years ago but we got the coach from Newcastle and it took a looooonnnnngggg time but I will say they were very professional and a good company to go with

I've done this before with Leger. They've always been great, for extra days, upgrades ect.

We live in Hull/humberside and we have used national holidays a few times ,long journey but not a bad price ,however we went to leeds/bradford airport with jet 2.com booked hotel through expedia(stayed at bussy) bought tickets from the disney store and it worked out better than the coach and we got to stay longer so no more coach trips for me from now on Im so going to book it myself again

Do the coaches have loos on?

As I'm so close to london I doubt I'll ever do it by coach, but just curious...

As soon as I'm somewhere where I can't get to a loo I need it!! So things like this worry me even though I know the my journey options are fine for weeing!
