Asking for help!

We are planning on booking for a 2018 tomorrow. My daughter (age 10) and I are Gold. My parents have never sailed and are thinking of joining us.

Could I put myself with one parent in one room and my DD and other parent in the other? I want to know if I can book two rooms since we are both gold.

Absolutely, you would each be the "lead" on one of the two reservations though - if one of you are not able to sail the reservation would need to be cancelled and rebooked, or you could move the second parent into the one stateroom if that is an option too.

I've been around a while, and what you are saying confuses me. Can a 10 year old be a lead on a reservation? I wouldn't think so!?
The daughter wouldn't necessarily need to be the lead on the second room reservation anyway.

sdjen would be a lead(primary) and Parent 1 would be in the first room.
Parent 2 would be the lead(primary) and sdjen's daughter would be in the second room.

For Castaway Club purposes, the entire room is based off the highest level staying in that room not who is lead (primary) on the reservation. Both rooms could check in at the same time, select excursions, etc.

I'll take your word on cancelling out a room since I don't know enough about it. I would want an adult from each party as the lead. This way if either group has to cancel last minute, the other party could sail by adding in the person(non lead secondary) from the room being cancelled. IE: sdjen and daughter could combine into one room or parents could sail in a single room. If the leads were sdjena and daughter, and they couldn't go due to illness or something, that means the parents couldn't go either since both reservations would be cancelled.

Does the Gold member have to be lead on the reservation to book tomorrow, or can it be any guest booked into the stateroom. I don't believe a 10-yr-old can be lead on a reservation. I recall a discussion about this maybe last spring just prior to an Opening Day, but I can't find it and don't recall if anyone reported whether a room can be booked on the advanced opening day with a gold member who is not lead.

The responsible person on any reservation needs to be an adult, as far as I know. However, since the daughter in the room with the grandparent is gold, that room can book at the gold level. At least that's how I understand it.

Leave it to me to misread it while trying to get the pricing thread going too... I didn't notice your daughter was only 10. I am not sure if that will work since she is not an adult, though I've heard that CC benefits for the highest "ranked" club level apply to everyone in the stateroom, I am not sure if that can work for booking as the lead needs to be an adult. Please report back if you try..!

After being on hold for an hour I was able to book myself in one room and my daughter with her grandparent in the other. So, it is possible!
