I am going with a group of friends to MT Snow this weekend. There will be 6 of us but two of us are not skiing. I don't plan on getting stuck in the condo cooking etc... we want to go out shopping etc...
I checked on line and they did list a few stores, but they were like hardware and clothes shoppes, I was hoping to find a Vermont Country Store etc... I know there is one more further north near Okemo.
Does anyone know what I can do in the NT Snow area to keep busy for 2 days.
We go to Wilmington every weekend, so I can tell you a thing or two near Mt. Snow

Too late for this weekend maybe, but The Vermont Country Store has two locations: Rockingham (exit 6 off 191) and in Weston (on Rt. 100 past Okemo) both are about an hour away.
There is a country store type store in Downtown Wilmington, it's called "the 1836 Country Store", and there are a bunch of cute little shops right in the village. Down in The Valley has lots of fleece, tshirts and ski type clothes, The Incurable Romantic has a lot of neat gifty things, Bartlebeys books is a nice little bookstore. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. We like to hang around at the Wilmington Village Pub in Wilmington, its more of a local type place than a touristy place. Up near the ski area is the Valley View Saloon, which is kind of more upscale and touristy.
If you like tubing, you can go tubing right at Mount Snow, and there is the Snow Barn at the ski area where they usually have bands at night (for other bands/singers at night try the 1846 Tavern on Rt. 100 in Dover, The Valley View Saloon, The Hermitage, The Maple Leaf in downtown Wilmington, Cuzzins at the mountain).
There is a movie theater in one of the little plazas on Rt 100 not too far from MT. Snow, and at Memorial Hall in downtown Wilmington they have free old movies on Saturday night (7pm, I think).
Pick up a copy of the Deerfield Valley News the local paper and look in there, there's always lots of information of what is going on during the weekend.
Other things if you don't like skiing: snowmobiling, cross country skiing, there's a couple of Spas (one at the Grand Summit Hotel), ice fishing.
