Other than mousekeeping tips. Is it possible to go to Disney with nothing but my M/C?? I'm from Canada and DH and I are planning on using our credit card for all of our purchases other then a few tips and airport snacks. It will be easier/safer then having to guess at how much cash to bring. Is it possible?

We did all credit card also and it's much faster in my opinion. I suggest bring a few dollars just in case.

It can be done however, I would bring at least some cash for emergencies or vendors. You should have no problem with just using your credit card at all.

Some places in DTD will not take KTTW cards. Some of the vendors in the parks won't, either. I would take $20 or so, just in case.

We went plastic only on our last trip... I think we started with $20 cash, but spent about $10 at the airport on breakfast and the other $10 on a hot dog and Coke at Casey's at MK that we shared... other than that, it was charge only. Now THAT was a nice bill... :headache:

I'd at least bring a little bit of money, I always end up using a little bit of cash for tips or such. For example, I always use the curbside checkin at the airport when available, so that is $5 or so each way that I need to have.

Normally this would work. However, one year our cc # was compromised, and the cc company started decling any new charges. Tahank Heavens we had enough cash to pay for the charges on our room key. I believe in this situation, they would have allowed us to write a check, with proper identification. So you might want to have a back up plam, maybe another credit card, or your check book, or a debit card.

We get two prepaid visa cards for our Disney trips. Split the budget 50/50 on the cards and wife and I each take one.

We do bring about $20 in cash for tips.

We stay on site if that matters and use the disney transportation to get everywhere.

We found this to work very well because you stay on budget no matter what. Plus you don't have to lock up cash in your room during the day or anything like that.

We do this every year but make sure to have more than 1 card available just in case of a compromise! We use our KTTW card for everything except for mousekeeping tips. (we don't buy a lot of souvies so we rarely shop at DTD). We put all our tips on the card as well. We feel safer doing this because we can double check our charges on our statement before we check out so there will be no surprises when we get home. If there is something wrong on your statement....can you deal with it in person.

but I never travel anywhere with NO cash. You never know what might happen with plastic and the little machines that use it. I always have $50 or so in cash on me in the parks. Now I have to say that I can have the same $50 in my pocket for days but its there for emergencies nevertheless.

This trip we have free ddp and over $400 in Disney Visa Reward points so, if all goes smoothly, I won't use cash except to tip mousekeeping & baggage handlers. I'm still taking $200 in cash.

I should clarify that we always have at least $100 in cash on us but we don't touch it if we don't need it.
