We will be going with a large group for the first time next year. We have made a couple of trips previously with only 4 people. We have two ladies who have mobility issues and use ECV's. This has worked well. They both get a special pass that have allowed them (and the rest of the party) to enter through fast pass return and such. This time we will all be going with a group that could be as many as twelve people and would include a two year old. I would like some advice from those of who have gone with a larger group but still have friends or loved ones who have mobility issues and require a wheelchair or ECV. It worked well with a small group. But I am concerned about a larger group accompanying them through the special entrance areas. It would be nice if we could all ride together and still do baby swap on some attractions with the two year old. Any one out there with some words of advice?

Most of the queues have been reconfigured to accomodate ECV's and wheelchairs. For those that haven't, the ladies will be taken to a waiting area--the rest of the party will get in the regular line, and when the people in the regular line reach the load area, you'll all be loaded together.

In areas that are not mainstream you and those in your party will go through the alternative entrance together. There may be a wait to board as you wait for an accessible vehicle. Normally each Guest assistance card can be for the person plus up to 5 people for a total of six. If you have small cildren in the group they may make an exception to the rule.

Just came back from a trip where there was 14 of us. My daughter had her regular motorized wheelchair and my MIL rented an ECV. We didn't all go on the rides together that often but when we did we used Fastpass and as such often road together as a group. The Guide for Disabilities "highly" recommends using the Fastpass system first and if the Fastpasses are gone then you speak with the ride attendant. You really shouldn't as a group of 12 with 2 folks on ECVs have any problems. Just use the Fastpass when available and remember that on some rides you are going to have to break up into groups of 2 or 3 anyway so make sure you arrange a meeting place for after the ride ;) Have fun.
