OK, I pretty much have an idea what what I need to do but I don't want to miss anything. I tried to read the guide but got a bit overwhelmed. I know I need to make characters and get the black ears, retro Mickey shirt, etc. I know I need to buy gold ears from a certain shop (chapeau?) to get virtual ones.

I think there are 4 quests out now? Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Fantasyland? The tours are over, right? I see on the VMK site that you can download the Tomorrowland quest, but what about the others? (and the spoilers are here, right?)

Also, do they really check your tickets? I am going to be at the MK 4 different days of this trip. Can I do our tickets each day or do they scan them and say only once every 90 days?

I also need to buy candy at the shop and request a card, or can I ask for one fore each of my group? Same thing at Buzz ride with buying the pictures?

I hope the Animal Kingdom quest will be open then. Has anyone heard anything?

Sorry this is so long and sounds so much like a newbie. I never paid that much attention b/c I wasn't sure I was going to get to go!

I hear they are not doing adventurland right now, but the others are still good. No more tours :( The other quests you can pick up at VMK central in the park. Spoilers are in one of the sticky guides up top.

Yes! They scan them and you are in the computer there at VMK central. If you have seperate tickets for each day, then you can turn in quests each day. If you have one ticket you use for your whole stay , then only once. But everyone in your party can turn them in anyways.

It all depends on who is working at the time. Some are nice and give extras, some are stingy. I hope you get all nice ones :)

I'm expecting it soon. I think they may be trying to get it out at the same time as the offical opening of Everest. That's just my guess though. I know for sure they are building a VMK central for AK.

Have a great trip!

I was there 2 weeks ago and the Adventureland quest was still going on. The official rule for the cards at the candy shop is one card for the purchase. I had a nice person that gave me 2 since there were 2 of us in the party. I guess the best thing to do it to give each person some $ and then each will get a card without having to worry about do I have a rule stickler.

Thanks for asking this! We're headed there soon and need to do a few things we missed last October.

Just wanted to add that you do NOT have to buy ears at the Chapeau to get the virtual ones. My family of 4 all bought regular hats -- I chose a visor -- and we received the cards.

Have fun! :goodvibes :wave2:

I have been to WDW twice since VMK started.

Don't forget to print out the Tomorrowland Quests and if you want to be extra nice bring a few extras for people that don't have them. I hand out full quest answers usually when I see an anxious kid with missing or wrong answers and parents that have had just about enough of walking around the parks looking for quest answers. That always gets me a :worship: from the parents.

Don't forget to bring the PDF printouts for nemo chairs, tent rooms and gold stuff. If you have not done it I would take a little time and do the Hidden Mickey quest on VMK with a few characters to get the printouts. That gold is great to have.

Don't bother with the printouts for the VMK bracelets, you get it with the quests and they won't let you have more than 1 per ticket so that PDF is pretty much useless.

When you make the characters in the VMK booth it will help if you bring a list with you of what you want or take notes on what emails you used. The first time I didn't do that and it took me a little while at home to figure it all out. The VMK place is next to the candy shop so you can make characters and someone else can shop. Also if you are going to wait for the parade. Why not go early grab a spot in front of the VMK booth and youy can make characters while waiting for the parade.

The cards for in park purchases. Forget the shirt at Sir Mickeys you can get that shirt with a new character and I would only do it if you actually want a shirt there or need the actual card.

For the other places you can ask for cards. Some give them some don't. I would try each time you go in the parks. One time at Buzz I asked and the girl asked me how many I wanted I said as many as you can spare. I walked out with 33 cards doing the happy dance. It all depends on the person. I smile and asking nicely always helps.

The pin you get with purchase is also available I believe and just like the Sir Mickeys I would not bother unless you need the card.

I have been told that if you buy a hat elsewhere you can take the receipt to the Chappeau and they will give you the ears.

You can get a new set of quest with each ticket every 90 days. Even if you are going to be in the MK if you are using the same ticket it counts and you won't get another set. I was there with my Mom who used up 1 days passes we have left over so I got a set each day because she used different tickets. They scan each ticket and they are VERY strict about that. They don't care about the person, I turned in 22 sets of quest last trip (I had some friends in the area meet me for dinner one night) and they people in there got to know me, all they are about is the ticket. If it scans you get the quests.

I have not heard much about the Animal Kingdom quest and I have been looking for infernomation. Maybe when you get there someone will have more info.

I have been told that they are out of the Adventureland quest brochures but are printing new ones. (always a good idea to grab a few sets) they are giving out the cards even without the quest brochure I have been told.

Also about getting some extra brochures. My sister was going and it was so easy to send her the brochures with the answers scratched off with the printed Tomorrowland quest and just ask her to turn them in. You never know when you are going to hear about someone going to VMK and if you have the stuff all filled out it doesn't take much time for them to get the cards for you. Just thinking ahead a little!

That is everything I can think of. Have fun and bring back lots of quest!

What pdf for a nemo chair?........ Nevermind I found it, high score on fireworks. I have no chance at that! :rotfl2:

Thanks for the replies everyone! There are few things I need help with though:

Do you have to have a validated ticket to get the quest stuff? If I have someone who isn't going into the parks for that day can I still use their ticket? What about if I have an old one from 1980 that is on paper?

A little confused here. What brochure?

Also, can we turn in as many PDFs as we can get? it doesn't have a 90 day limit or a per ticket limit?

I beleive the quoted poster meant to say the 'brochures' are the in park quests which are scratch off cards, you can pick up extras and if you know anyone going to WDW you can give the card to them to turn in for you, since it is quick.

And I do not know if the ticket has to be used that day or not...
