2 Weeks to go until my first ever trip to Walt Disney World!! I cannot wait. Looking at the clock will not make these 2 weeks go any faster but I am still looking every 30 mins! I have been to Disneyland twice before, both my wife and I both aged 27 love Disney - Obsessed is more like it! We are celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary in Feb and had our honeymoon in Disneyland. So it only makes sense for a key anniversary to be WDW!

I was wondering any tips you have traveling to Walt Disney World that you wish you knew before you went?

I am obsessed with planning this trip and for us Aussies it is so expensive for a Disney trip (and far!) that I am going over everything a million times.

About my trip, flying United MEL-SYD-SFO-MCO, then staying at Pop Century for 13 nights, and All Star Music for 1 night (Pop was sold out for the last night), I had the free Quick Service Dining and upgraded to regular Disney Dining for a small fee and I have booked my dining reservations over the phone (thank you 1300 Woolies Phone card, great value calling USA at 1am Melbourne time every day! :goodvibes)

Thinking of surprising my wife with something from disneyflorist.com on our actual anniversary date, have not figured out what yet.

Any hints, tips for our trip, anything at all that will make a WDW trip run smoother, or any romantic surprises would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You:)

Congrats.
Hope it is a great trip!

A popular 'surprise' thing is an Illuminations or Wishes cruise.
There are different boat options that you would have to ask them about. As some cater for larger groups rather than a couple.
The Disney florist is (as expected ;) ) expensive. But it would be a lovely touch.

I think this is a great idea, flowers can not come home with you, memories can :)

I would suggest the horse drawn carriage ride or the Segway Tour both at Fort Wilderness, and dinner at Trails End Buffet. To get to Fort Wilderness you can catch a boat from Magic Kindom. Ring WDW tours Ph 407-939-8687

I would also advise Disney before you go this is your first trip and you are also having a wedding anniversary, you should both get the badges for both events when you check in.

I highly recommend the Segway tour at Fort Wilderness. Not technically romantic but a load of fun and a lovely surprise :)
And it is so lovely the grounds.
If you like Diving you can dive The Living Seas
Look at any of the tours.

thanks for your help I am busy researching based on your ideas.
My wife is a huge fan of meeting characters, most likely going to book the Pirates Fireworks Boat cruise where you meet Hook, Smee and Peter Pan and get food & drink while watching 'Wishes'. While I know not very adult/romantic and there will be tons of kids around but, hey it's WDW!

The Segway tour sounds exciting! Is it hard to use them? So much research so little time! :yay:

Not hard to ride the Segway, they train you how to do this. It is not a case of having to balance when riding one, the control system of the Segway does it all for you.
