We bought the MYW package with park hopper, we are driving (12 hrs) and are planning on arriving in Orlando at 10 am. I know check in isn't to that afternoon, my question can you go the the parks that morning while waiting to check in to your resort? We are staying at PopCentury. This is our first family trip and our first time to stay on site. All the info would be appreciated :flower:

The boards are great!!! :cheer2:

I have not stayed at Pop but we stayed at a Down town Disney Hotel and we were able to check in and leave our bags with the bellhop and they took them to our room when it was ready. You might be able to do that or if is just as easy go straight to parks!!

We used to drive down to WDW from NY a while back, and back then we would arrive at 11AM or so. We would just drive right to the MK to kill sometime and then check-in when we were done for the day :flower:

If I were you, I'd take the time to check into the resort first, then have them keep your bags and head to the parks. That way you are not rushed to get back to the resort to check in. Also that way, you may be able to make any special requests on rooms and such before lots of other people get checked in for the day. If you have any questions about checking in early, just contact the resort and find out if you can check in at the time you plan to arrive. Most resorts, Disney or otherwise will do this for you, then you don't have to worry about getting back, and enjoy your first day in the parks. :cool1:

Just my opinion.

Hi!

We were at POR from June 28th - July 7th. We arrived at POR at 10am on a Tuesday and our room was ready for us. Depending on which day you get there your room might be ready when you get there :wizard: .

We stayed at pofq june 27-july 2nd so we could have rode the same bus how cool

I would check in first. Last September my family was able to check in at the Pop Century at 7 a.m.! We took a red eye from LA (never again) and luckily our room was ready. Extra benefit-we were the only ones checking in at that time. :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

You're allowed to check-in anytime, however you're not guaranteed to have a room ready for you until after 3pm. We usually check in at the earliest possible time, and often times that means 7am. Out of all our trips, we've only had to wait for a room once, every other times the room is ready.

Check in first. It'll make your life easier.
