Going to the movies while at WDW

Do you enjoy taking in a movie while vacationing at WDW?

  • Yes - This is a great time to catch up on the flicks!

yes my parents went with us last year ,dw and i went to to epcot until closing then when to see a movie .as parents gave us one night with out the kids. and we are not bar or nightclub kind of people

I agree with the other posters who said that they don't do anything at WDW that they could do at home. However, if it was a Disney movie, I think that if I had the time on our non-park day I might go to a movie. I think it would have been special to see Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion in the DTD theater.

We've been to WDW enough that we don't really care for sloshing through flooding parks in a downpour. Those are the afternoons we'll often head over to AMC. I think we saw the last two LOTR movies there, and Spiderman I, all on the day they came out. Nice theater. Next week, we will try to find time to go see Princess Diaries II.

So far, we've only gone to the movies at DTD when we had a late flight out of Orlando. But I can definitely see the appeal of going on a hot day (love that air conditioning!) or even late one evening if dh and I were down there without ds. :)

I voted yes---- but only if it's raining.:D

We took the kids to see Home on the Range one rainy afternoon back in May. I think it's fine to go if it's something your family will enjoy and you have the time for it in your schedule. We were there for two weeks, so we didn't feel we wasted the time. :D

We go to WDW to relax and if we feel like a movie, that's what we'll do. That's the beauty of WDW, there's so much to do for however you feel. To us the parks are a part of it, but there's so much more.

yes! We always see one movie while we are there. We will take a break from the parks and go to DTD one day and make a day of it.

Yep, you bet! We saw Bugs Life when it first opened there. Special memory and GREAT theater compared to what we have at home.

We do get so busy though that often a movie is last on our list of things to do.

I don't think I would ever catch a movie while at WDW. I can always do that at home. My visits to Disney are too precious!

I'm all for doing everything at WDW, but with the time alotted...only so much can be done. I must say that the theatres are great but so are the ones at home. So i vote, for me^^, to go the parks over any movie. but that's just me! hee hee. but there's nothing wrong with catching a flick if spontaneaity (sp?) comes in to play :).
