Going To See Wicked In Chicago

Sorry, I didn't know you had to put a membership number in to see pricing. When I looked it was $53 for center seats in the orchestra section (for anyone else that might be interested). I hope you get to go, but a new house would be fabo!

Wow, that is great! I think they are $83 on the website. I might see if my parents are members. I'm thinking we still will and if nothing else, we'll either drive home or stay in a suburb. I'm really looking forward to going.

The allerton is a very nice hotel. Kind of a historic Chicago feel. That will put you right in the theater district and not far from your theater.
Mag Mile is usually referred to when speaking of the farther north shopping area (Watertower place, 900 N Michigan ave and Oak Street), but you will not be far from Michigan Ave if you are staying in the theater district, just farther south.

Please Feel free to ask any other questions. I'm a Chicago gal (well suburbs now, but have many city years under my belt)!

Thanks. We'd rather stay closer to the "shopping" area. Do you have any recommendations that aren't horribly expensive? I know those two don't always go well together.

If you want to be near North Michigan Avenue (the Mag Mile area), there is a Hamtpon Inn & Suites up there as well as a Hilton Garden Inn.

If you look on a map, the shopping areas are along Michigan north of the Chicago River. The theatre district is just south of the river (a few blocks) and a bit to the east of Michigan.

Lisa, thank you very very much. My parents are members, and I can save $30 a ticket, which is super!

That's great Nicole -- I'm glad I could help. Now make sure you spend that "saved money" on something good...the economy is counting on you to do your part!!! :teeth:

Things still okay weather wise?

We will. It's going towards our new house :)
