Going to Scrapbook Expo

Ya'll I am going to Scrapbook Expo this weekend. I never leave the girls except for very brief amounts of time. Like to go the dentist, doctor or something like that. Well Saturday my friend and I are going to the Scrapbook Expo. I am so very excited!!! DH is going to spend all day with the girls while we are gone. I am not taking any classes or crop. I really couldn't decide on which classes to take. Plus I will be to excited to sit still. I am just excited to go and see all the new stuff out.

Can't wait to report back to ya'll about how it goes. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and holiday!

I can't wait for the one in Orlando coming up in Oct...I couldn't even get into a class they filled up so quickly but it is fun just looking at all of the stuff they have available and doing the make and takes. Have fun!

Holycow, I would love to go to the one in Orlando. We will not be down there then. Hope you have fun! I can't wait to hear about that one.

Laura, We fell in love with WL! That was our first trip. Here is our trip report if you would like to read it. 08/03 Disney trip. It worked out perfect for us with the boat transportation. We always drive our van to and from the parks because the bus transportation is slow with the girls two wheelchairs. Once we parked the van we didn't get back in it until we left to come home. It was great! We can't wait to go back there and spend more time. We would love to make it our home if we ever buy into DVC.

Thanks Spinning! You are more than welcome to hop down here and go with me to this one. Wouldn't that be neat all the Scrapbook Disers (do we have a name?) going to a scrapbook convention or crop together.

I'm going to the one in Orlando in Oct. CAN"T WAIT. I'm sorry you weren't able to get into any classes HolyCow I was able to get into everyclass I wanted but it took forever. Maybe I'll see you there shopping. When I looked at the classes a few days ago they did have some classes that weren't filled up. I know sizzix was one of them.

www.memoriesexpo.com. You have to sign up it cost $30. But it saves you the 2 day adm. fees plus you get $5 off each class and you get a chance to sign up for classes before it is offered to non-members.

You will have a GREAT time! I went to the expo today in Gwinnett with several friends and really enjoyed it. It's fun just to look around and see what kind of supplies are there. All of the scrappers were very nice and helpful!

I was such a Dope! I kept trying to decide if it was worth it to sign up for the Memories membership and decided not to. The morning of the sign ups for everyone I got on and there were plenty of classes left!
But of course I forgot about it and got on 2 hours later and all the classes I wanted were sold out! boo hoo! Lol..

I'll know better next time that is for sure! But it is just great to walk around and take in all of the fun stuff and make and takes going on.

Melisa, where are you in GA? Are you on the GA Scrappers list?

We had a great time! My friend and I left at 9:00 and got back around 6:00. It was great! I got some SEI page packs which I am very excited about. They have the paper, stickers, and tags of all one theme. I also bought some Bazzill paper packs. My favorite purchase is the Home Pro 2 Adaptable Hand Eyelet Tool. I love it!!! No hammer, no noise. It's great. You can punch your hole and set your eyelet with all one tool. Just a squeeze of the hand. Since it's quite I can use it at night and during the girls naps and not have to worry about waking anyone up.

I did a quilling make and take. I didn't really enjoy it. I love the look of quilling and actually loved the one I made. It just seems very tedious. Maybe I should just practice some more. Does anyone quill? Do you enjoy it?

It was so neat to just get out for awhile. I met friends that I had online talked to online and never had met before. I always got to see some friends I very rarely see. It was great! Someone must have sprinkled some PD for me. Thanks so much!

When we got home dh had the girls dressed and ready to go to a friend's 50th birthday party. We had a great time. I am so tired and heading to bed after I check my mail.

Also we are having a Croppin' For A Cause fundraiser crop in Covington on September 20th from 9-9. It's $30 if you register before the 5th and $40 after the 5th. Your registration fee includes breakfast, lunch & dinner, a goodie bag, and door prize. We will also have some items to auction thanks to the wonderful people here on the Disney board.
