Hi, we are now going in August, 14 nights at POP century(it was the cheapest Disney Hotel, though DD would prefer All Star Movies, need to save money for spends), I have so much planing to do now, and only 5 months to do it in. Luckily I am not booking any ADRs, as we will just eat on the go, I figure it will be to hot to eat a big full meal, we won't have much money and with free Dining it will probably be better to avoid it.

So what will a 5 year old love about POP?

Congrats on your booking. Were staying at the Pop for the first time in April, carnt wait. :cool1: :cool1: I'll let you know what its like however my DD's are a bit older 9 & 12. pixiedust:

Oh I feel your panic! We're at Pop like the week after you! We're on the free DP so I've gotta get my head around the ADRs, although my mum doesn't want me to book any cos she wants the freedom to roam the parks and eat when she wants! Oh the joys of trying to plan, arrange and please everyone! :rotfl:

It's going to be our first time at Pop, and our first on-site stay too, so we're seriously looking forward to 2-weeks of acting like over-excited children!!! :thumbsup2

glad to hear you are going, but must say that winging it on the ddp is not advised. unless you just want to eat at CS all the time

I agree - try to get a ts meal booked every other day, its busier than you think! if its not a character meal or show you don't have to definatly keep the ressie

There's a lot to love about the Pop, no matter what your age!

I would say a 5 year old will love the oversize characters and huge "things" that are outside each building. I stayed in a building in the 70's block, and outside our block was a 3 storey high Mickey Mouse Phone, a 3 storey high child's tricycle and a team of table-footballers! Evertthing is painted in day-glo colours and is very bright and fun.

There are also some really cool little things for little people, like Goofy's area with sprinklers that squirt out of the ground at small-kiddie height at random. We were there in December and even in the evenings there were always kids running through the squirting water!

There are also small play structures and twister pads set into the ground al over the place. Playing twister on a fully constructed permanent pad is pretty cool!

The main pool is also great for kids, with good lifeguards on duty.

The hotel rooms often get towel animals left by the maids, which I'm sure wil delight your kids.

There's loads more stuff too - it's a great place, and we loved it!

Have fun!

Miranda
