It has been possible to do for years.

Up to 3 days before your check-in date.
(Which also means it cam be ON your check-in date.)

Just take your resort package info to any Guest Relations outside any park or at TTC or at DTD and they can activate your tickets.

Sorry... I meant going straight to the gate (or turnstile or whatever you call it) and skipping that. So that will probably never change? I want the magic bands to really be "magic."

Here's what I am trying to figure out... HS is an emh morning on our first day and we only want to go there for tsmm (with no fp) and then head to ak. If guest relations doesn't open until the park opens then I would go ahead and check in to our hotel first. I guess my real question whether the new online check in system will be available to everyone by November.

Arrg... I have another question. I want to drive there. So if my magic band is not activated I'll have to pay to park or take a bus which means I will need to check in to hotel anyway? I never have a good plan for this part of the trip.
