Going to park on first day before check in?

We land at 10:05 on arrival day and want to spend the day and evening at Epcot (Food and Wine!). I plan on doing on-line check in. I don't want to wait around until check in time, so when we come back at night do we just go to our room and our luggage will be there? Anyone ever had an issue doing this?

Has worked well for us the 2 times we have done so. We drop our bags with bell services and just let them know we don't have a room yet and are heading to the parks. They are really great about it.

They'll text you your room number which also lets you know room is ready. Whenever you come back to your resort you should be able to just head straight to the room. Our bags were delivered prior to our return without issue both times.

How are your bags getting there? DME? Bringing bags yourself and checking them with bell services?

DME will deliver bags directly to your room even if unattended. Bell services will NOT deliver bags to an unattended room (what PP says above is not supposed to happen); you'll need to call down to bell services to have your bags delivered once you get to your room (or stop by bell services to get your bags yourself).

You don't have to wait around for check in time. You can check into the resort anytime, I have often got my room early.
DME drops you off at the resort so while you're there you may as well go check in. Will you have carry on? You may want to drop it off in your room, or switch to a lighter purse to tour around the parks.
For us coming from the west coast between having to get to airport 3 hrs before flight and 7 hrs of flights, we like to go to our room to freshen up before heading out.

We have left carry-ons with bell services and just picked them up on our way back to resort. Call resort when your plane lands and let them know you - your room may be ready earlier.

We do this most of the time and it works. They have always had it ready by the time we get back at night.

Last trip we arrived around 11am on magical express. Dropped off our carry-on luggage with bell services located outside of the hotel (Contemporary) because room was not ready.
We got the text that our room was ready around 3:30pm while we were watching the Festival of Fantasy Parade in MK. Picked up our carry ons, and our bigger bags from MDE were waiting in our room. Was super easy.

I'm not sure if Bell Services will deliver luggage to your room without you being there. I know in the past we've left luggage with them while going to a park on our check-in day. We've always had to contact Bell Services once we were able to get into our room.

Was there last week and my bags from both ME and bell services were delivered to my room while I was at the park.

DME bags will be delivered to your room, but my experience is that any luggage you leave at Bell Service has to be called for once you're in the room.

I have dropped bags with bell services when room was not ready. I got the text while at DHS that the room was ready a few hours later. Bell services did not deliver the bags to our room. We needed to stop and have them delivered (it was no big deal).
