Going to HHI next month..need some info

We are heading to HHI in March and looking for anyone who has been there recently or that time of year before to give us some insight. We have been, but not in 6 years.
Curious abou what activities they offer?
What buildings are the best to request?
Anything else you can think of would be greatly appreciated!

We will be there next month too! This will be our first trip there. I'm looking forward to a lot of relaxing but also planning a couple of days in Savannah. I'll be reading and noting suggested activities along with you.

DH and I will be there in March, too! We plan to relax, do some of the activities, take a day trip to Savannah, etc. I'm thinking about doing the trolley tour of Savannah where you can get on and off all day. We've been to HHI several times, but never in March. I've looked for a list of DVC activities, but I haven't found anything yet. Last year we were there in May and really enjoyed the swamp walk. It's always fun to see Shadow and Blu, and the ghost stories in the evening are fun. We enjoy the campfire and watching the kids sing and dance around the fire. Please share any information you find.

We will be there the next week, March 24-30. DH & I will celebrate our 22 anniversary there.

Going for the first time the first weekend in March. Only 10 days away now. I hope we get a little warmth but my expectations are not too high. It will be warmer than home and that's all I care about.

I am really looking forward to seeing a new Disney resort for the first time!

I know it's a long way off from now. We were planning on using up some banked points (exp 4/2013) for March 2013. Please report back - weather, what's open, closed, busy, tours you did, etc.

Do you guys own at HH? Just wondering if I will have any problems booking when my 7 month window opens up.

Yes- Shadow loves a good tummy rub!

She's such a sweetheart! As far as the best building I had to chuckle. When DH and I go, we get a 1 BR and our favorite by far is the Live Oak Lodge. Yet, we had friends who got Live Oak Lodge when they reserved a 1 BR after always being in one of the other buildings, and they were very disappointed at their location. I guess "best" is very subjective.

What are your favorite activities at HHI? For adults, and for teens/young adults?

I absolutely adored HHI when I went in October. I recommend any of the tours around the resort (I did the bird tour). I also took the kayak tour and it was wonderful and surprisingly easy. Savannah and Charleston were amazing!

Thank you so much for this information. I look forward to studying your link! We recently visited Disneyland in Anaheim for the first time (& Southern Cal) and thoroughly enjoyed a change from the fabulous WDW! Have not yet visted HHI or Vero so there is some unchartered ground for us to hit!
