So you know for certain it is off the menu? Not just from the Disneyland web site? Cuz I have found so many problems with the official Disneyland website showing incorrect menus. And you also know for sure you can still order it though? Sorry for the questions, I just want to know for sure cuz this is our most important meal of the trip. Haha!

I haven't personally been since the change was made on the website. I was told by somebody who said they were in the parks and new I was fond of the Monte Cristo, take it with a grain of salt. You could probably give them a ring though: (714) 781-3463

Just asked at the guest info kiosk. The CM told me that they "run out early." Around 9:30 seems to be typical these days, since they've just relaunched it. Haven't seen it myself yet. Will ride the train and various boats this Sunday, though .

If you are dead-set on having a Monte Cristo on your trip, I would cancel your BB reservations and make new ones for Cafe Orleans, where it is still on the menu. I wouldn't bank on the ability to get it off-menu at BB.

I can answer that one. We were there last week and saw this particular book all over the parks.

Can you let me know how the wifi works with the app? And if you are using maxpass, how easy that is to activate, and is it possible to do it on the wifi? Thanks!

I can't speak as to Max Pass as its first day was our last in the parks and we did not buy it- but I can say that the wifi was awful with the app last week. I had trouble connecting to wifi and when I did it often would cause the app to glitch and not show wait times or character meet times. Many times to get the information, I had to turn off wifi- and I also would have to reboot my phone and then it would work fine until I got the urge to turn wifi back on and try to connect again. We bought a $20 small sized portable charger at Best Buy before our trip and I wound up using it every day that we were at DL. It worked great, so I would highly recommend dragging one of those along if you plan to use the app, or try to connect to wifi a lot. (I have an iphone 6S - don't know if connectivity would be better with a different phone).

He is not listed on the app as an available character at all. We saw him on Tom Sawyer's island. We were told by someone in the know that he has been there pretty much every day since the movie came out. Not sure of the times. When we were there he left and people were told he would be back in 30 minutes. He was terrific! He spent a lot of time with DD and was absolutely hilarious.


Hope you are having a great time Wonkakid! So jealous that I am back home! We saw the CMs in the canoe last week just like your photos. I could be wrong, but I think at least a couple of people in the boat are the same ones we saw - poor people are still paddling around in circles! I wonder if they are the CMs that will be working the canoes, or if it is some type of team-building exercise.

How were the crowds this morning? The lines to get into both parks yesterday around 11a were crazy. DL said went past the monorail track and CA was almost to the middle of the esplanade.

I was just looking at the wait times on the app, looks like it's crowded there today. How bad does it feel in the park?

I left early (2:00) and it never felt especially crowded until then. I had a FP for Buzz, which I meant to use but didn't because when I got to the ride, the line was perhaps the longest I've ever seen it (for FP holders). Otherwise, it felt moderately busy but it wasn't a problem (till later).

Lastly, here's a pic of the BL scoreboard from early in the day when I was doing well. Dave ("DLH") was there, though, and the board looked much different later in the day. I was barely on it.
