Hi, Now that I have found this site, I have so many questions to other Disney fans since my husband shushes me when I bring up Disney.

Has anyone ever gone to Disney pregnant. We are trying to plan a trip next summer and our goal is to get pregnant next March- I know nothing goes as planned but if we do then I could be 6 months in August. Would I be nuts to go to Disney then especially during the heat? I just don't want to wait and then take a newborn down.

Thanks

Nah. You'll be fine. Stay off the thrill rides and enjoy your trip. I've been there pregnant more than once. Just listen to your body and take breaks when you need them.:cutie:

I went in the beginning of Oct when I was 6 mos pg. It was hot, I stayed off the big rides sat in the shade when everyone was on rides. I did fine, no problem and I had problems in the beginning of my pg. The only thing my feet ws swollen the whole time we were there, it took a few days after we got home for them to go down. It didn't interfer with my walking. I just don't want you to panick like I did when I seen it. Have fun.

I went at 31/32 weeks in September and it was an awesome trip. If you take it easy you will be fine. I would just make sure you get it cleared from your doctor and I took a copy of my medical records with me too - just in case.

Back in July 1996 I was 7 months pregnant...YIKES!!!! It was a nice trip-very hot & I was very large...but I still had a great time. I couldn't go on alot of rides. I would much rather go not pregnant. Plan your trip-whatever will be, will be!!:)

We went when I was 7 mos. pregnant in July, it was hot, I didn't ride anything. Every day after lunch I took my 2 yr old back to our room while DH stayed at the park with the older kids. After a nap we would meet back up with them. It was a nice laid back, everyone enjoyed it.

You could certainly do it, but keep in mind that Aug. is HOT!!! I live in Central Florida and have been to Disney numerous times while pregnant and I personally wouldn't want to do it in the heat (I don't go in the summer even if not pregnant.) If you do go, be careful to stay hydrated. The last time we went in August, the worker at the stand where we were buying frozen lemonade passed out right in front of us from heat exhaustion. We only stayed a couple of hours before the heat got to us. EPCOT is a nice place to go in the heat, because it has a lot of indoor things. We've also taken a newborn (youngest was 9 days old her first time) and it's really not bad.

I'll let you know how it goes:) I am 6 1/2 months PG right now and we leave Wed for Disney:) I am feeling really good this time around and only up 3 lbs so far so I hope that helps me out:)

I'll be just 15 weeks when I go on Thanksgiving....I'm just planning on taking it slow and also just relaxing. We don't go to the parks every day anyway! :flower3:

I went PG with DS at 6w and 25w (May and Oct) without a problem. I just got back from a trip at 32w PG with DS#2 - no problem! Know your limits and take it easy. Lots of indoor shows with A/C, shady spots to eat ice cream and popcicles, and afternoon naps are great.

Forgot to mention in previous post...while in Disney & pregnant I gained the most weight (nearly 11 lbs) I remember my midwife yelling at me b/c of such a big jump. I blamed it on the good food & actually eating 3 times a day!!!! hahahahaha
