Going to Crusie to Mexico...should I get Hep A & B shots??

We are cruising to Mexico next October and are considering the twinrix shots we have avail. I have read some differing info on if they are safe.

Do any of you have any info???

Have you had these shots???

If you where going to Mexico would you get the shots???

Generally speaking the tourist areas you go to on a cruise are safe. I was just in Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen, and Tulum on a cruise, and didn't bother to get vaccinated. I did bring along bug spray, and I didn't eat anything except the pre-packaged snack bars I brought along with me--and my own bottled water.

I got those shots regardless just living here in the US. They are a series of 3 and not the most fun shots but they do cut down on the risk of a pretty nasty ailement.
