Hey guys! Im doing a solo trip in May for 6 nights and I am not doing the dining plan. Im hoping to do a TS meal a day. I need some help coming up with places that I can just walk into and maybe sit at the bar and eat. Now keep in mind I'm not old enough to drink so the bar is for food. I've already made a resservation for Le Cellier for 1 and Chef Mickeys for 1. I've got 4 more meals left to try and figure out....Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

We have walked in and eaten at the bar at Yak and Yeti and the Tune in Lounge (50's Prime Time)

What I don't know is if you are allowed to sit at the bar being under 21 though.

I WOULD TRY NINE DRAGONS IN EPCOT WE WENT AT LUNCH TIME CLOSE TO OPENING AND IT WAS VERY EASY TO WALK IN AS IT WASNT CROWDED AT ALL FOR LUNCH, WE DID HAVE RESERVATIONS BUT SAW LOTS OF PEOPLE WHO DIDNT AND THEY HAD NO PROBLEM. THIS WAS IN DECEMBER. THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE GREAT! YOU GOTTA TRY THE GINGER ICE CREAM FOR DESSERT THAT ALONE IS WORTH GOING FOR!:thumbsup2

Have you checked out the prices on the menu's page? I can understand if you are on a budget, but we have found that if you eat one tableservice meal per day, the meal plan pays for itself, and most likely saves you money. Just a thought. We were there in January and found that we actually paid less than the table service meal was for the price of the meal plan per day.

You can't use the dining plan to eat at a bar. If you use the dining plan it is best to make ADRs at a regular restaurant. And you can only get it if you have a Disney room/tickets package reservation, have an annual pass, or are a DVC member.

Anyone of any age can sit at a bar - you just can't order alcohol if you're underage.

This is my bar list:

California Grill lounge – full menu available
Tune In Lounge (adjacent to Prime Time Café) – full menu available
Jiko – full menu at bar
Raglan Road – full menu at bar
Gurgling Suitcase – full Olivia’s menu available at bar
Rainforest Café – full menu at bar
Yak & Yeti – full menu at bar
Citricos – Full menu is available at counter/bar seating inside restaurant. I believe, but am not sure, that you can order Citricos dishes from Mizners lounge.
Rose & Crown – pub menu (cheese and fish & chips available at the bar)
Flying Fish – full menu at counter seating

Turf Club – appetizer menu at bar
Tambu Lounge – appetizer menu at bar (selections from Kona)
Territory Lounge – appetizer menu at bar
Martha’s Vineyard Lounge – appetizer menu at bar
Rix Lounge – appetizer menu at bar
Bluezoo – bar/café menu (limited selections, no desserts)
Crockett’s Tavern – food available
River Roost – appetizer menu at bar
Crew’s Cup Lounge – appetizer menu at bar
The Wave – appetizer menu at bar

Whispering Canyon, Sci-Fi, & Coral Reef all have entertaining atmospheres that will keep you occupied while you're eating. I've had luck getting a solo table without an ADR (in June) at Whispering Canyon & Sci-Fi. I don't think you'll have a hard time getting a table at Coral Reef either. Have fun! I was meeting up with friends too, but I loved the freedom of eating where/when I wanted & doing everything I wanted at my whim- it was just for 1 day, but I really enjoyed it. You're going to have a great time!

(BTW, my sis is a Ragin' Cajun in Laf too!)
