Going Solo For My Birthday

I haven't used my AP in months and it's honestly breaking my heart. I don't have any other local friends who are AP holders but I do get to use mine when friends and family come in from out of town. So with my birthday being this week and no plans in sight for the actual day of my birthday, I decided that I should go solo and totally treat myself! Although I've been to Disneyland more times than I can count and I usually have a game plan ready to go, I'm feeling really thrown off because for the first it will be just me. I'll admit that I'm both excited and a little intimidated.

Any tips for my solo trip? Is anybody going any time soon? Since it's my birthday, do you think I should do anything extra special?

First of all, a very happy birthday to you! Hope you have a very good visit to your favorite Disney theme park. Even if you've been there a lot going solo is like a whole new world. Tell me, grotto, now when did you last let your heart decide? You don't even have to plan that much because it's entirely your choice. A new fantastic point of view, no one to tell you "no" or where to go or say you're only dreaming.

I would suggest that if you are going to this week to attend the AP-Days events which is in it's final week. You get access to some movie previews, special character meet/greet, free popcorn and water, buttons, etc. Most of the AP-Days meeting locations are in DCA and one location at Disneyland. Aside from that just go with the flow, enjoy your birthday and consider having a nice dinner or even register/pay for the special meal package for one of the shows/parades at Disneyland or DCA. Have a wonderful time celebrating your birthday!

Thank you for the birthday wishes and thank you even more for the great words of wisdom. I'm sure that I'll be humming or singing that last line to myself all day! :genie:

AP Days hadn't crossed my mind! Baymax is there this week which is completely perfect for my birthday. :) Thank you for reminding me! An amazing dinner for one is also on my to-do list now, haha. :cake:

I'm heading out to Disney World in a week and a half for my birthday. Looking forward to it. Have a nice time on your trip.

I planned a solo trip for my birthday in late April. As a matter of act I just called to pay it off, and they CM asked if I was celebrating a birthday or another occasion. I said, Yes! I am checking in on my birthday! I am truly looking forward to it. I planned a Keys to the Kingdom tour which costs extra $ but it's something I have always wanted to do. I love the freedom to make my own choices on this trip. Have fun and happy birthday!
