Hey everyone, this is going to be my first visit to US/IOA. I am coming down Mar 10-16 for the WDW AEP and have 1 full day (mar 9th) before our conferences start on the 10th. So i was thinking of hitting US/IOA. I will be going solo. So will it be possible to do both parks in one day. I see some rides have single riders lines. Which park should I start with US or IOA? Here is my list of Must do's

IOA
Spiderman
Hulk
JP River Raft Ride (eek dinos)
Dueling Dragons

US
Simpsons (MUST DO THIS)
Mummy
Twister
Shrek
Terminator
ET

Thanks for any advice/tips!!!

I suggest getting to IOA at opening...You can probably get all of IOA that you want to get done in an hour or 2 and will have rest of day to US. If its in budget you could get a 1 day 2 park express pass and most likely be able to do it all.

Yeah I just checked into that actually and with my ta discount it looks like a do able option. Thanks!!!

How easy/difficult is getting to the parks? I am either doing mears or ***********. Where will they drop me off and how far do I need to walk? I've read you have to go thru citywalk to get to the parks?? I am going on a Monday, so locals should be at a minimum right? I'm mostly concerned about leaving at night afterwards.

Thanks

They will drop you off just outside the parking garage.Go up the esculater and your there at the entrance of citywalk.

Its closer then the people that park in the garage!!

I would start your day at Islands. Spider-Man and Hulk both have single rider's queues. But they're not always open.

At Universal, Mummy is the only attraction that you've listed that has a single rider's queue. This one is almost always open.

If you spend the money for the Express pass, be aware. At Dueling Dragons and Simpsons, the regular queue and the Express queue merge with each other.

Great list of must-do's. Great attractions. Enjoy!!!

Thanks, good to know about the XP lines. Still not sure if I should get it or not, but since I only have 1 day I figure it'll be necessary if I want to do everything I want to.

I was interested in some chracter meets too while at IOA but seeing some stuff online I don't know if I wanna bother to see Rogue and the Other X-Men now. Kinda cheesy looking.

You can usually find lots of characters roaming around the Studios as well as Seuss Landing at IOA.

just remember that the express is only valid one time per attraction. if you do decide to participate in the meet and greets, you can grab the park map when you enter and it'll tell you when the meet and greets are.

Hi, Glendon! :wave2:

The express pass will help to make sure you get everything you want to to do at least once. Then you can go reride your favs (especially The Simpsons, you have to reride that to get all the jokes). Getting there at park opening there won't be very many lines, and then you can go back through and use the express pass to ride everything again for whichever park you choose to do first.

Cool Thanks!! This is going to be a totally new adventure for me!!! Well pretty tame as adventures go actually.

I would also add Jaws, MIB, and Disaster to your USO list.

Just seeing Christopher Walken with the pepper's ghost effect in Disaster is worth the wait.

So, does that mean you can't ride The Seas either? There's some sharks in there. :rotfl:
