Going Rate for Rent?

Could I rent points to a family member or friend? If so how much do most people charge? Thanks

You could rent to whom ever you would like. Going rate on this forum is $8 to $9 for distressed points and $10 to $12 for points in good standing. As far as renting to family, that would be a price that you would have to come up with. Some owners give the points to family, others may get just enough to cover dues owed on those points, and others may get full boat. Regardless, even if you charge $12 a point the renter or family member is getting a great place to stay at a fraction of rack rate.

Then there are "prime" points - those where the renter needs the owner to book at exactly the 11-month window - which often go for more than $12/point.

I have begun to rent extra points at $12 per point and have had success finding renters, but when renting to family have rented for $10 per point, my previous asking price.
