Going on rides with a cast?

DD (7) broke her finger and is in a cast up to her elbow (a really bad break - had surgery and now has pins in her finger).......has anyone been to Disney under these circumstances? We are leaving Thursday and I don't know what to expect.....I know we can't let it get wet!

Thanks - because of the pins we were told we could not get a water proof cast - we are going to avoid the rides that could get her really wet - I am curious about the other rides....
