I am coming to Orlando Oct. 3-7 for work. I would like to visit Epcot and Magic Kingdom in the evenings after 5pm. I will be staying near the airport. What would you recommended as far as what tickets to buy and what to see with just a few hours a night?

Unless you are attending a convention which may have "After 4:00" or "after 2:00" tickets available you are out of luck. Disney Park tickets are "front loaded" so that a two day ticket cost is 58% of a ten day ticket. And Disney does not discount one or two day tickets at all. The legal resellers generally even charge a premium over Gate for their service to provide one or two day tickets, rather than how they normally sell three through ten day tickets at discounts.

Do not buy cheap tickets on the street (or eBay or Craigslist) as you cannot tell, by looking at a ticket, what is actually on the ticket. And if the finger scan does not match and the ticket is invalid you are out the money and will have to buy right at the gate.

You might want to look at the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in the TPA&S Forum. Especially the items bolded in the list below.

Now the other question worth asking is do you think you'll be making another trip to the parks anytime soon? either within the next year or next few years?

Because of the way the tickets are priced (front loaded), with the regular gate prices it would be quite expensive for only a couple hours of Disney time each night you are there.

If however, you think you'll be coming down again sometime in the next year or two, You might want to look into either an Annual Pass or a longer length non-expiration ticket. Both are more expensive up front, but when you factor in your next trip they could end up saving you money vs. paying full regular price for your tickets on this trip.

Another couple options, Obviously, if you can get the Convention tickets, they'd be ideal for you.

Or, With the training class ending on the 7th, can you stay in town for a couple days after to enjoy full days at the parks? Depending on the way you are traveling, and the way your company pays for your travel, You may be able to get away paying for the extra hotel days down there. Since after a certain number of days Disney tickets end up only costing $5-$10per day extra, if you can tack the extra couple full days onto the end of the business trip, you can say the "full price" days are the extra full days, with the after-class days costing you the $5-10.

Just some stuff to think about
