Here's a great site set up by Universal. It's meant to be used on cell phones while touring the parks, but I always check it from my comp. It has the wait times for all the rides at both parks, as well as show times. The lines are usually pretty long in the early afternoon (around 40-minutes), but by 3:00 most lines are down to 20-minutes or less. From what I've seen here the crowds are nowhere near as bad as I'd expected, but I'm not sure how well the site actually reflects what's going on in the parks.

We just got back and it wasn't bad. We walked on pretty much everything at US for the first hour and then there were 15 minute waits for all the rides for another hour Seemed like when we were leaving for a break at around 1, the parks were getting really busy. Around 7pm(when we came back), things were dying down again with shorter waits. Of course, it was our first time, so I don't know how busy it was except to compare it to Disney, LOL
