All,

I am travelling to Disneyland Paris alone for 1 night on 9 February, this isn't my first time travelling to DP alone but I've never done a character lunch/brunch alone...anyone any experience of this?

Would it be tooo sad to do this alone?! :rotfl2:

Thanks

K.

It wouldn't be sad at all, if you feel comfortable and want to do it alone why not. I've never seen anyone sit alone in a character meal but I am sure some do.

Thanks lilacgems23 but the lack of responses are making me think I would be a bid odd to do the character meals alone. I don't want to look like a :clown:

I'm thinking now I may just do a nice meal at California Grill or somewhere I haven't ate before. I will still be able to meet the characters in the park! Also I'm just back from a week long trip in October and done both Auberge du Cindrillion and Inventions with my hubby, so maybe this trip, I should do something different!

Any resturant suggestions from anyone who has visited recently would be welcome.

give folks a chance OP, you only posted this late last night :)!

I'm actually really looking forward to when my daughter is older and I can take myself off to DLP for a solo me-time trip. I think I'd probably do counter service mostly to be honest, as you're not sitting as long on your own as you would in a table or buffet service restaurant.

But if you want a nice meal in nice surroundings to relax over, go for it! Enjoy your trip :goodvibes.

Indeed, people need some time to see it. I was on earlier and so didn't catch it even. ;)

I go to character meals alone all the time. In Paris it's usually Inventions and Auberge, haven't been to Cafe Mickey in quite a while.

I don't think it's odd at all. Sometimes you have things happening that wouldn't happen if you had company, like Dale sitting down with me and keeping me company for a while pretending to be my dinner date. :goodvibes

Ok, sorry about my comment about the responses so far, I admit it, I am an inpatient little thing... :rolleyes1 especially when I am super excited about going to DP :rotfl:

Thanks Vala, that's really reassuring about the character dining, and nice to know I'm not alone in wanting to go solo - sometimes it's nice to please yourself right?!

You've really sold me by mentioning the potential to experience something you maybe wouldn't with company, that's exciting.

Again sorry for being impatient and showing a lack of faith in disboarders...I really should know better, you lot always come up trumps!! :cheer2: Forgive me

I too would say go for it :thumbsup2 have seen lots of solo travelers and diners on my trips and they always look like they are having a great time - lots f attention from the characters too.

You will be able to use the single rider lanes in toy story playland too!!!

Enjoy whatever you decide to do!
