What is a good time to be at Disney? We would like to be there when it opens. Are the car lines long? We ar staying off site, what time should we plan to get to Disney in order to park and still be in line when they open?

also-canyou take in water bottles and a light snack (goldfish, fruit)

Samantha... it all depends on which oark you are going to and when. Check allears.net for park hours for the date you'll be there.

The earlier the better... be there when they drp the rope. Head straight for the ride/shows that are at the top of your list. When we went in March, we were there for the MK opening and headed straight to Frontier Land. We weere on BTMR and Splash Mountain... and POTC in less than an hour.

The Magic Kingdom has a great park opening with all the characters arriving
on the train with pixie dust to open the park, animal kindgom has characters
at opening to. We stay on property so I am not sure how long it will take you to get park and get up to the gate, but I would think at least 1 hour before opening. Yes you can bring in water bottles and snacks, but be
prepared for bag checks which lines can get long for those. the more
you bring into the park the more bags will be checked. send everyone
who doesn't have a bag thru to the gates without you and have them get a place in that line while u are checked. ::MickeyMo

The park hours are on the DIS board Main Page...they are posted 6 months out. I would recommend getting there 45 mins befor offical opening. When you go(feb VS Easter is very different) has a lot to do with lines, and amt of cars. Yes you can bring in water and light snacks. They will be searching bags, but it is OK. Welcome to the DIS!!!

Get there as early as you can. :Pinkbounc

Yes, you can bring snacks. I would freeze bottles of water to drink during the day (if you are going when its hot out) they do have bag checks, but no big deal.

Get there are early as you can and check out the various sites mentioned aboved to see times for each park opening. You have to do this at least once in your life-- it IS magical. :wizard:

For tips on the theme parks I suggest visiting the theme parks board here on the DIS. You will get lots of great information.
