hello!

I am going to be attending a WDW trip in Nov. with 4 generations.

grand mother is 78
father is 59
husband is 29
me 34
daughter is 6

I have several questons:

#1 We are booked at the Best Western Lake Beuna Vista, is this a nice hotel? we have a standard suite with 2 beds and a daybed. The rate we have is 105.00 a night. Trying to see if this a good place to stay, do we get the WDW privilages like at the other hotels? Is there a shuttle?

#2 We were also looking into the Fort Wilderness cabins, there rate is 239.00 a night, but a little more room, more spots for all of our bodies.

#3 Character meals, Our daughter is 6, and wants to attend them all! Which ones would you recommend? I will probably be the only one attending them with her, to cut down on some costs.

Thanks in advance!

I can't really answer the question regarding the rooms at the Best Western. One thing to consider is the cabins at FW have kitchens and you could eat breakfast and some meals in the room to save some $$. You also don't need to have a car when on-site as the WDW busses take you everywhere.

Who are your daughter's favorite characters? I would take her to one breakfast that has the ones she likes most. We try to schedule the breakfast late in the morning, that allows us to treat it more as a brunch, then just have a snack in the afternoon.

Sounds like a wonderful time!

We travel en masse, also, and my parents are 74 yo. IMO, you should really attempt to stay onsite. My parents weren't interested (able??) to do commando-style touring, and by staying onsite, they would just leave and go back to the resort alone. No concerns about taxis, rental cars, or how to link up later. It made everybody feel more comfortable doing "their own thing".

In Dec. we are going with my parents, two DSis and their spouses, one DBro and his spouse, and a total of 4 kids other than my family of 5! We considered staying offsite (and I believe you could do better than the BW you mention), but will be staying onsite so we can separate and meet up more easily.

If you remain offsite, consider HIFS (a board fave) or renting a small condo/villa. If you post on the Orlando Hotels board, you'll get great responses.

No matter what, it'll be great!
