Going in February and have ???'s

Hi everyone!
We are planning a trip in early February (before President's weekend and crowds). Never been in February and wondering what are the crowds like? Do we need to be aware of any events like invasion of cheerleaders? And lastly what is temperature like? Thanks in advance!

Hi Danielle,

Crowds will be very light as long as you avoid President's Day weekend and a few days after the holiday.

Weather is totally unpredictable. You could have some mornings in the 30s with highs only in the 40s and other days where it gets up near 80. There will be no way of knowing the weather until a few days before you leave.

I do thing that Daytona is in that time frame (middle Feb.) so it is crowded then.

Friends went last Feb. and said it was shorts during the day but long pants in the evening.

We went the first week of Feb. in '04, and other than MK's emh day, the crowds were extremely light. Most things at Epcot were walk on, AK was minimal wait, even on EMH, and MGM we managed to time everything perfectly and never really waited in a line. I LOVED this time of year! I think we just missed the cheerleaders, don't think they were there with us. Had a huge tour group from Turkey on some rides with us.

I was at WDW in Feb 2003 and again in 2005 and the weather was all over the place. In 2003 we had days that were jeans and sweatshirt weather, and then days that were shorts and tanks. In 2005, the days were warm, high 70's to low 80's, but the nights were cool. Sorry, I'm not much help, but early February seems to be very unpredictable. Although, it can't be too bad because we'll be there again in Feb 2006!!!
