Going from Fantasmic to Star Wars Galactic?

This has probably already been addressed, but wanted a recent update (based on newest show times, "age" of all status quo shows at WDW.... For example, we have come to discover that for us, the Star Wars desert party is no longer necessary - plenty of good viewing spots to be had for Star Wars prior to the show.... We have also seen Star Wars and Fantasmic a number of times....

Question: If we have fastpass plus for Fantasmic, is there a sound strategy (where to sit), leave early (if possible) that would allow leaving Fantasmic and viewing the start of Star Wars?

Or is it not possible? Thanks in advance...

If SW fireworks start 30 min. after Fantasmic!

Sit on a top row in Fantasmic!, on an aisle, near audience far-right.
Leave before the best part of the show (which is the finale.)
Sprint down a dangerously steep hill.
Maneuver through a crowd still on Sunset Blvd.
Try to find a decent viewing spot for SW fireworks in a massive sea of other guests who
have chosen well to arrive 30+ minutes before the fireworks begin.

In other words, the timing is wrong (and designed by Disney to be that way)
to see both shows and have a good view and enjoyment of either.

Robo, thanks, and we understand that timing is tough - but we have seen Fantasmic at least 10 times - we can miss the riverboat finale - given this and as alluded, fact that Star Wars has been out for awhile (for example, today you can show up anywhere at Epcot lagoon 5 minutes before illuminations and find a good spot) - do you still think that it is a tough plan?

1. but we have seen Fantasmic at least 10 times - we can miss the riverboat finale -

2. given this and as alluded, fact that Star Wars has been out for awhile (for example, today you can show up anywhere at Epcot lagoon 5 minutes before illuminations and find a good spot) - do you still think that it is a tough plan?

1. Then, why not skip Fantasmic! and find a good spot in advance for SW fireworks?
2. The viewing area for SW is too small for the size of the show, so it remains busy.

Also, if we tried it, would we be part of a stampede?
Yes. What you want to do is what about half of the Fantasmic audience wants to do. Keep your eye on the audience. As soon as you see people getting up then jump up and run!

Or...

Wait to the end (the finale is our favorite part, too), join in with the mass of people and see what you can of SW from Hollywood Blvd.

Since you've seen both shows I'd pick one to watch. If you're thinking of doing both please sit as much to the top of fantasmic as possible, it is very rude to other guests, some who have never seen fantasmic, to leave before the show ends and block the viewing while trying to exit.

As mentioned, the timing does not work out.
If you want to see SW, sit near the top on the end and leave early.
You most likely will not get a great place to view SW.
As others have said, if you have seen Fantasmic before, I would skip it an get a good view of the Star Wars show instead.

Thanks everyone. We are leaning to bagging fantamic. A heavy lean in fact
