Background:
Husband and I are going on our first ever solo trip to Disney. We have been married just over a year. During our first year of marriage my parents took us on an amazing Disney trip as a kind of welcome to the family trip for my husband. Until that point he had only gone a couple of times on quick day trips. But, that trip we were at POFQ and were there for 4 days with the premium package. That was a really fun trip, and he enjoyed being on property and getting to do all the fun things included in the package.
So, we talked it over and decided that as a real anniversary present to ourselves and as a reward for being DEBT free (we are Dave Ramsey people) we would take a trip to Disney, pay cash for it, and go big or stay home. That led us to going with the platinum package. We started crunching numbers to see how soon the debt would be gone and how much we would need to do what we wanted at Disney. Interestingly enough, Disney put out the 25% off code just in time for our booking and our week that we wanted to go were included. Sweet!
We are booked for April 22 -25, 2009! YAY! We are very excited it also doesnt help that we live in mouse-town. Seriously, seeing the billboards everyday makes me want April here all the sooner. We seriously live close enough that on our actual anniversary (which was at Universal since we get major discounts there) I got up for a couple of hours and went to work and made it back before my sleeping husband had even rolled over (can we say work-aholic?).
