Does anyone know how long their length of stay promotion is going to last? Is this a good deal to be considering? It's if you stay 4 or more nights, you get 2 length of stay passes. We're hoping to go ahead and book within the week.

Also, is the transportation provded from the onsite hotels to the parks and the CityWalk?

And is there a planning video that one can order?

Thanks in advance!!! I'm excited! Neither of us has ever been to Universal and we're both big movie buffs!

The length of stay package is not usually your best buy. I think it is always available but you can do better.

The parks are within walking distance from the hotels but there is also a boat that will take you.

I don't think there is a video.

If you tell us when you are going, we will help you with the best possible scenerio.

We'll be there November 28th - December 3rd or 4th. We may stay an extra day or so we can get to SeaWorld.

Also, does anyone know if there is a shuttle service from the hotel to Universal? Or would renting a car be easier?

Is there a way to get from Universal easily to Sea World?

Also is that a good time of year to go? Are there crowds?

What hotel are you staying at? If you are staying onsite (Royal Pacific or Portifini or Hard Rock ) the parks are a 5-10 minute walk away (they have landscaping and paths) . They also provide a bus shuttle and a boat shuttle to the parks.

If you are staying in one of these hotels you get universal express acess to nearly all the rides and shows all day evrey day. Basically you show your room key card and you go in the express line and it makes your wait about 5 minutes to get on the ride!!!

We're going to be staying at one of the on-site hotels. Not sure which one just yet!

There is a shuttle from the hotels to Seaworld.

Is that Thanksgiving weekend? If it is it will be busy but with your Front of the Line access that you get for staying on site it shouldn't matter.

Friends of mine honeymooned at PBH and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were able to book a honeymoon package that included a ton of stuff. Dinner, breakfast, spa treatments, drink coupons, champagne amenties, valet parking and 2 passes to the parks for 7nts.

Hope this is helpful and congrats.

Desiree,

Congratulations to you and your beau!

We are going to Universal at the same time, so I know the Stay and Play deal is available since I almost got it. But then I checked into the annual pass rate, and it saved money, even including the price of the passes. Our ap rate is $129/night (at the RPR) for the week of Thanksgiving. I think there is also information here on the entertainment rate, but I don't know too much about that. I think you will just need to look at the prices each way, since what's best may depend on which hotel, how long you are staying and how many people in your room (5 in my case, obviously 2 in yours!)

Have fun!

Thanks everyone!

Sn00zn, with the ap rates do you get discounts on the food as well? I'm wondering if we'd do better doing it this way too. Did you get ap's for everyone or for just you so you could book everything?

You do get other discounts with your AP. 20% off merchandise in the parks and 15% off of food in the parks. You also get discounts at Citiwalk restaurants and shops but it varies. You only need one AP for the discount. You could by an online bonus pass (5 days for the price of 2) for your other ticket.

Desiree,
We went ahead and got AP's for the whole family since they were doing a "two years for the price of one" special that seemed too good to pass up. We needed at least 2 AP's anyway, since I wanted to book a room for my sister and niece and you can't book 2 rooms with 1 AP at the AP rate. You can go to http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/annualpass/learnmore.html
to find out all the AP discount info. Here are most of the shopping dining discounts.

Snoozan! Thanks for that info! I'm clueless as to trying to figure this annual pass thing out!

Right now if we go the Stay 4, Play free route and stay 7 nights (2 days will be at Disney) at RPH and with everything included, (Airfare, car rental estimate, food, etc) our price is $3700. That seems really really high to me.

If we do 6 nights at PBH and just one Disney day that total is down to $3580.

Would it be a huge difference or not, if I got one ap?

I can't help you as far as your extras go but there are AP rates available for that time at HRH and PBH. HRH is $153 per night and PBH is $181 per night. So for 6 nights of hotel, 1-AP, and 1-5 for 2 bonus pass, it would be about $1370 for PBH or $1200 for HRH. It wasn't showing RPR available. HTH

Rescue, is that for a double occupancy room? or just the single rate?
