Going for a long shot... whats the chances??

I just found out that we can make a quick trip to DW during Spring break. Yea! Now the rub... what do you think the chances will be of getting a studio at BWV or BCV Mar 11-14... Slim to none???

I waitlisted with MS but I also have a back up with a good rate at the Swan.

This will be a me and the kids only trip while DH is in Iraq so we're just hitting Epcot and MGM and then going to "that other place" shhhhhhhhhhhh

Any stories of inspiration for a waitlist coming through this late in the game at this time of year??

Seems like there should be something somewhere....It's not Easter week afterall. Sounds like you are stuck on an Epcot resort, BWV, BCV, Swan...I'd be willing to bet OKW or SSR has something available.

If nothing else, I bet you could get SSR. We atayed there for a last minute trip for New Year, and we really enjoyed the resort. You would need to take the buses to the parks, but when you go to the "place that shall not be named", it wold not matter at all. It is really nice to be so closer to Downtown Disney.

It was a different time of year, but I got BWV on short notice. Southwest had a great deal, so I called for ressies in mid-July for late August. I got 2 of my 3 nites in a BW view studio, and had to stay in a preferred view one night, then move rooms (my wait list for BW view that nite didn't come thru). I also waitlisted for the BCV for all 3 nites, but unfortunately I didn't get it. So, from my experience at least, I'd say it's not a long shot but I think you'd have a better chance at BWV than BCV.

Good luck on the waitlist But if it doesn't come thru, the Swan is a nice place to stay. We stayed there last year for Spring Break, it was a last minute trip and everything everywhere was booked. Our kids loved the pool and we were still close enough to walk over to our favorite BW places.

I am on the waitlist for a studio March 16th at BCV. There were no studio at any of the DVC resorts. There were a few 1 bedrooms at OKW or SSR. I think I may have to stay at Pop. There are not any room at the BC/YC for that night either. That week is spring break for Orange county schools here in Florida.
