Going for 1st time in August!!

Hi I am new to these boards, and have MANY questions about planning our trip in August. Myself, my husband and our 2 kids DS 5 and DD 22mos (at trip time) will be going, we will be driving from Texas!

1. We will arrive Sat AM early and we are staying at the DLH. Will it be possible for us to check our luggage so we can use our 1st day park hopper this day? - It is okay to use our park hopper the same day we check in?

2. I have read on several rides that there is a height restriction and an age restriction, I completely understand the height restriction, but do they really also make kids be of certain age? For example on Goofy's bounce house it says shorter than 52" and atleast 3 years, my DD will be 2 and I am sure would love to do this is this possible?

3)How potentially crowded is it Aug 18-21? I know that this is a difficult thing to predict, I was just wondering if area schools will have begun.

Yes, they should be able to check your luggage with you. Its never been a problem for us before. Yes, you can use your hopper the first day!

Goofys bounce house has been gone well over a year, so its a moot point. Goofys house and garden are still there to play in/at, but the "bounce" is gone. There are no height restrictions. The only ride I know of that has a age restriction is autopia- babies need to be over a year old.

I would plan for it to be pretty busy the end of Aug. MOst schools dont start until close to or after labor day. But, if you get to the park early and use fast pass its really not that bad. Pland to take a nap break mid day when its hot and crowded.
