it sounds like WDW is gonna be pretty crowded? Am I supposed to believe what I hear?

I want short lines and warm weatehr. I know i will get the warm weather.

Anyone else going first two weeks in Oct?

Going October 11th-14th. I keep calling to try & to change resorts & they say everything on property is completely booked! Is it because of Columbus Day?

We are going Oct. 1-10! We have never been in Oct. before, so we don't really know what to expect? We have been several times in July,June, April and March! Any packing advise? Will it be hot? Should I pack any long sleeves or pants? Or should I stick with shorts and tees? I welcome any tips or advise for going this time of year!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We will be staying at POR Oct 2-9. By observing these boards I think the first week will not be bad. After that you have not only MNSSHP but also Food and Wine Festival. Most people book for then I think.

We're going Oct 11-18th. Last year this week wasn't bad. I'm trying to remain positive, but I fear bigger crowds/longer lines this year due to FTP.

i'm sure that if any crowds it will be from the columbus 3 day holiday. we went in 2000 and the week of presidents week and it was a mad house. Any extra days from school or work and people come to Disney. but we all better just take any crowds with a grain of salt since we can't do nothing now. plans are already made.

Were going Oct 3-10 to the WL I thinking that starting the 8th it will be busy due to Wishes and the epcot press event

We will be there Oct. 4-10. Our school and lots of others in the South have a Fall Break that week or sometime around in there.

Fall break starts 9/26 at my oldest DS school :) We are leaving on 9/27....

We will be there 3-10. Last time I was there was in JULY 1996. I don't think the crowds could get much worse than that. Even if they do, it won't spoil our fun. :)

Will be there Oct 2-9 and I sure hope it's not crowded. YC is fully booked while were there.

We will be there the 1-11th. I have been calling everyday to switch my mom's room from CBR to CR and I have been told that all the luxury resorts are booked. So, I am going with the notion that it is going to be crowded as HECK down there!

I will still take a crowded DW over no DW anyday!!!;)

We will be there the 4th-11th. Yesterday I tried to get a room, for my mom to join us. The only thing available for the end of the week was Beach club, and ASMu. I was able to get her in CBR, for the 1st 4 days of our trip.

I agree that the crowds will come towards the end of the week, due to Columbus day.

I made a list of the special things going on the week we are there.: Last fantasy in the Sky fireworks, 1st Wishes fireworks, 2 MNSSHP, Epcot media event for Mission space, Special events surrounding Mickey's Philharmagic. Spectromagic is being shown several times during the trip, so I figure they are expecting lots of people.

Like Chicken said: Remain positive. IT IS still disney. Better than work.

Everyone have a great trip.
