Going during Thanksgiving or January

Hi all,

A friend of mine is debating going to WDW either near Thanksgiving (Nov. 23th-26th) or at the second week of Jan. '07.

The point is that she wants to see the Xmas decorations in place. I told her that, as I see it, the parks should be very crowded in November. Does anybody knows until what date would be the Xmas decorations in place during January?

The decorations usually are taken down the beginning of January.

Thanksgiving weekend is a busy time at the parks, but all of the decorations are up by then in all of the parks & resorts.

A great time to go is the week after Thanksgiving through the week before Christmas. Pretty low crowds.

Crowds are better in 2nd week of Jan, but they're not real bad around thanksgiving either. I would favor November for the decorations.

Decorations start to come down around January 3; it takes a few weeks to complete the process.

This friend of mine is a co-worker who won a trip (3-nights, 4-days) to WDW, all expenses paid!!

I've been trying to convince her to avoid all this hassle of trip planning by giving me the wininng ticket, but haven't had any success to far...

I don't know when the decorations come down but when my family and I where there last Nov 8th-15th there was a lot of christmas decorations already up. A CM said they had to start early to get them all up in time for christmas. I was able to get pictures of the christmas trees and of the characters in their christmas costumes so if your friend doesn't want the huge crowds she can go at the begining to mid november and still see the decorations.
